Wenn derjenige den Part gut spielt warum nicht.

Egal ob Mann oder Frau...generell muss das Gesamtpaket vom Film stimmen.

Alles andere ist doch völlig unwichtig.

 

Ich würde jedem Menschen(Schauspieler) die Chance geben eine Rolle zu übernehmen.

Was dabei rauskommt ist dann was anderes.

Aber die Chancen stehen 50/50 das es auch ein großer Erfolg werden kann.

Ich respektiere diese Perspektive, aber meine liegt weit, weit entfernt davon.

Es gibt für mich Helden genauso wie Heldinnen - und beide haben Characktereigenschaften, die sich für mich nicht einfach wegdenken lassen - so nunmal auch das Geschlecht.

Ich möchte einen James Bond dabei genauso konsequent als männliche, wie beispielsweise eine Harley Quinn als weibliche Person sehen.

@Sir-Godric I think it’s cool that you’re open to any interpretation of the character. On one hand you’re correct in saying that it doesn’t matter who they cast male or female because if the film is made poorly overall most viewers isn’t going to be happy regardless.

 

I’m also in agreement with the notion that all characters should be allowed some room for interpretation, but if you change to much about them than they’re no longer that character anymore. I believe James Bond is one of those characters. 
 

If the producers announced tomorrow that a woman was playing James Bond I would still watch the movie because it could be entertaining, but I would also think casting a woman was the wrong decision even if I did like the film & like the interpretation. 
 

There is a limit to changing characters & creators should always be careful to not go to far, but as a viewer I’m willing to give anything at least one watch. You never know it could be great, I would doubt it, but it could be. Since you brought it up do you have a female actor in mind 🤔😅

I still regret that Clive Owen was not cast in the role after Brosnan quit as he would have made a fantastic Bond.

Thats exactly what i mean.

You should give changes a chance one watch.

I don't have any problems if James Bond will be a man for always and forever.

I don’t know what happened with Clive, there was a point when it seemed like he was going to be the next superstar. I also was hoping he would have been casted. Very good actor

Clive Owen would have been great, yes.

I think Cavil might rise to the occasion.

The choice for Craig was also not applauded until they saw the movie.

What do you think of Cumberbatch who was also discussed today?

And if not as Bond, he would be a great villain, wouldnt he?

Cumberbatch as Bond… yes, why not?

As a villain? Even better.

Last truly great Bond villain in my opinion was Robert Davi as Franz Sanchez in Licence To Kill. Ruthless, charming and very well written.

But no matter how good the actor cast as a Bond villain is, if the character is poorly written or not sufficiently developed, the movie as a whole will suffer.
