I love Lanthimos films more and more.

Maybe it's time to start to release some collector editions about his work...

I can’t believe he already has another one out so quickly after Poor Things.  A lot of the cast is in both movies, they must have filmed almost simultaneously.

I think it's marvellous. Besides, Lanthimos doesn't need a big circus to make a good film, he knows how to be grandiloquent, but also minimalist.

I would definitely like to check out ex-machina I have yet to see that but keep hearing it's a decent watch.

I thought it was excellent.  Saw it in the theater and loved it enough look up the name of the person behind it (Alex Garland) and make sure I followed his work.  I’ve really enjoyed everything he did other than Men.  Devs had kind of a weak lead, but the story was so good that it didn’t matter, to me anyway.  I thought Annihilation was very good as well.

But Ex Machina is still my favorite work of his.  I think it’s Oscar Isaac’s most impressive performance, and Vikander and Gleeson are both superb as well.

Interesting! I wonder what form this will take... I really hope it's not a reboot. Personally, I'd like to see something set within the universe, like a live-action riff on The Animatrix, a side-journey with new characters separate from all the Neo/Trinity/Morpheus stuff. But it'll be a long while before we know anything more, I'm guessing.

Or, you know...maybe not all that long after all... From Variety:

Plot details haven’t been revealed, but Warner Bros. Motion Pictures president of production Jesse Ehrman teases that the story will advance the fantasy world without straying too far from what made the series a success.

“Drew came to Warner Bros. with a new idea that we all believe would be an incredible way to continue the Matrix world, by both honoring what Lana and Lilly began over 25 years ago and offering a unique perspective based on his own love of the series and characters,” Ehrman said in a statement. “The entire team at Warner Bros. Discovery is thrilled for Drew to be making this new ‘Matrix’ film, adding his vision to the cinematic canon the Wachowskis’ spent a quarter of a century building here at the studio.”
