I'm genuinely surprised as I would think WB and all the flops they've had would be a little more open and flexible with taking offer's to generate more cash flow.

There are weird tax incentives involved.  The studio probably stands to make more on the write off than on those offers.  It’s messed up.

They will make 30-40mm from The write offs and built that (plus more) into the apparently non negotiable price they demanded.  They had no intention of selling. 
 

Worse still Zaslav never even saw the film and other execs never saw the finished film that was screened (to very positive reactions) for other streamers and audiences.  
 

After the success they had with Wonka and the free press they’d get, you’d think they would just put this out.  Family films have been doing VERY well and there is NO competition the next few months.

Pleasantly surprised as I was wondering how Disney would approach the casting for Marvel's first family. Still not sure how I feel about Pascal being picked for Richards but all thing's considered this isn't bad. Now to wait and see what comes out about the script.
