Good job looking out! Gone already it seems. Catwoman price now like €100 more than Penguin, interesting.

 

How do you track sold out stuff on the CM site? Do you just check periodically or do you use one of those websites that alerts you when something changes on the page?

I simply check their site periodically. I was surprised to find both versions available. However, I find it disappointing that CM has different prices for them. It seems to imply that one version is considered superior, which I believe shouldn’t be the case. In my opinion, both versions should be priced equally.

OK thanks! I think they do it based on supply/demand. I noticed that trend with other releases that would come back into stock now and again. Also find it odd that they randomly sell a few copies here and there. Not long ago I snagged a Jaws set from their site. I wonder if they keep a stash and wait for the secondary market to ramp up and then sell at that level.

I agree with you. I’ve never liked the practice of retailers increasing prices based on supply and demand, or withholding copies to sell later at inflated prices. While I understand that their editions may be sold at higher prices on the secondary market, I personally believe it’s unfair for retailers to engage in such practices, regardless of the potential profitability. Filmarena and Cinemuseum both like to do that.

Yes, I’ve read it and it sounded to me like they are just gonna go ahead and release all the undelivered editions  without discs (except Toy Story 4)  and keep the money by themselves. Then give a chance to buy a few later on with discs but with a higher price now. I’m surprised if they give a partial refund for the lack of discs. I personally wouldn’t hold my breath for that to happen. I don’t believe they even had any problems getting rights for the discs. Because if they had, why would they be able to sell even some of them with discs. I just feel like they wanted more profit. But I have no proof and these are just my personal opinions. To me, people working there have clearly lost their passion for this work. They haven't ordered any new steelbooks for the last two years and are planning to do something else now than film related items.

In the comment section of the Livestream he answered that assembly is slow and they may ready to ship from end of may but take it with a grain of salt

BATMAN + BATMAN RETURNS (Tim Burton’s Comlection) - CMA-#18

finally the third production of Batman + Batman Returns boxes has been completed and it's perfect! this title has been the subject of many problems and unexpected events and the delay has become truly unbearable both for you collectors and for us! 

 

I am personally mortified by this unforgivable disservice and the excellent quality of the product can only partially reduce my disappointment.

 

now the assembly phase begins which will be managed as quickly as possible.

 

I take responsibility for this huge delay and guarantee that CM is already modifying the production system of the ART Line so that such problems and delays will never happen again. 


From September we will renovate the production structure  with new management and lots of new features to start again with more enthusiasm all new projects!

be nice if he just got on with lost boys and stop telling us how he is improving things 

nothing changes his excuses are renowned and same drivel out of his mouth continues

lost boys was supposed third way thru print back in december here we are about to enter june thats only 7 months ago xD 

i will say this though i personally will never join another cine-museum gb as long as i live another one to add like FA they just not worth dealing with for me any longer. i be in my box by time they deliver xD

Basil, Basil, Basil. I sense you are frustrated. Just be careful not to hurl "insults" at/about Carlo or you risk  getting your post removed/heavily edited like I did. Just remember that Carlo and CM are a kind generous company. Remember, your orders are not actually ridiculousy delayed, it's just about you working on being patient.

He's never been rude to customers on Facebook who wanted to know when the item they paid for 2 years before was going to be released. He would never tell customers to canc if they don't like how long those orders are taking. He would especially never deal in business with someone who ripped off multiple members of MP despite warnings of what that person did. Also, if you heard about them charging extra shipping on those allegedly delayed items, we'll that's not true either. 

My point Basil, is that Carlo is a kind man, a generous man, who has taken full responsibility for these alleged delays. Please give him the benefit of the doubt going forward. After all, he makes a great product...

yes for insulting someone your message(s) would be under moderation.

 

For expressing frustration in a respectful and calm manner there is no need for moderation.

 

We want to try our best to keep it positive although i fully understand the situation might not make that an easy task. 

 

We too are waiting on different titles from the Retailer.  We have heard everything that you could imagine .  Throwing around rude comments does not help the situation though.

Yes, and that's why I was trying to guide my brother Basil through the minefield of his frustration. I let it get the better of me once. But I will never post insults like that again.

Insults rarely work. I prefer a cool-headed, far more effective approach.
