@Veum Where is the drama in that? You'll have to wait for the very long string of pics to be revealed here in about a month!

Looks great! Are they numbered?
No, I don't think so, I can't look right now, but I would have noticed I think. Are all OABs supposed to be numbered? Some of my others are.
It did come with a protector that fits perfectly. That seems to be a relatively new thing, to include those.

BluFans OAB #62 Mad Max: The Road Warrior 4K + 2D BR WWA Steelbook
BluFans OAB #63 Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome 4K + 2D BR WWA Steelbook
BluFans OAB #64 Mad Max: Fury Road 4K + 2D BR WWA Steelbook
There is a slight dent on the right lip of the box in the center
My fav is Fury Road, a really great edition with a very cool visual texture and light rendering on Max and Furiousa. I don't have the HDZeta but from what I've seen I prefer this one.

Thanks for the recommendations Mike. I think you got the last Officer and a Gentlemen, but I did get this edition of Men. My shipping ended about being about $110 for such a big order.

I just found some of these at Target. Is that a new thing or has it been going on for a while?
Yeah, they've been at Target and also at the check out at Barnes and Noble, but they tend to not be the more specialized releases: Dark Knight, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars Gold, etc.. If you think you're going to buy more decks, the Theory 11 website is the way to go. The Elite points add up, and the $100 box set is by far the best value for Avengers, Star Wars Silver, Harry Potter, etc. Just my two cents.
I brought this up, up thread, but since this thread is getting some action, thought I'd remind all. The Kings Wild Project subscriptions opened up last week. Some price drops and great values. If you're interested and need some help deciding on a subscription, feel free to PM me.

Was the NovaMedia sale mentioned here on MP? Did I miss that? Is it once a year?

Some pre-xmas arrivals. Thanks @Masterblaster .
• WEET The Avengers B2 Lenticular Fullslip 4K
• MANTA LAB The Suicide Squad ME #51 Full Slip 4K
• ZAVVI EXCLUSIVE Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker 4K Limited Collector's Edition Steelbook
This came back in stock briefly, and I grabbed one. Not a lot about this release on MP. Seems like an oddball edition.

Finally got home and was able to travel to the Dolby theater to check out Avatar: The Way of Water. Wow - the visuals are breathtaking to say the least. The story is better than the original but could still use some work - especially the dialogue.
I generally avoid 3D films because they seem gimmicky and a bit blurry to me. However, when I saw Gemini Man a few years ago (not such a good movie) I told my wife that I would get on board with 3D if more films used the high frame rate technology. I believe that film was shot at 120fps but presented at 60fps. The 3D was crystal clear and just a joy to watch. I'm happy to see that Cameron went this route and with a more reasonable 48fps. This frame rate combined with meticulously crafted CGI really makes you feel as though you are in Pandora yourself.
Well worth the 1.5hr drive each way to properly experience this film 👍
Thanks for your thoughts. Curious in central FL where you had to drive to see it? Or maybe I'm mistaken as to where you are based.
Yeah, I've been dragging my feet on this, but gunna make an effort for us to go see it in 3D after hearing your thoughts.
It's gunna be interesting to see what he achieves with 48fps with Titanic next year. In general I'm not a fan of the higher frame rates. Motion grading is ramping up as an added value, look creation, like color grading. But I haven't seen anything that makes me a fan yet. There is more talk about it at post houses than there used to be. TrueCut Motion isn't going anywhere I don't think, so we will see how it all shakes out.

An off the beaten path Christmas Album.
The amazing Andrew Parrot, one of the best conductors/musicologists of early music put together this collection of historic carols through seven centuries.
They are performed in a historically accurate style, based on the best available research.
A favorite is this English waits carol, God Rest You Merry Gentlemen, sung with traditional west country accents and accompanied by authentic bowed instruments. It is meant to sound rough, not polished, to replicate the style of the villagers of Sheffield roaming the town singing carols on Christmas night.
The first track, Veni, Veni Emmanuel starts very quietly, turn your volume up, simulating the nuns singing as they enter the abbey. This 12th century five verse hymn was lost of centuries until a version appeared in the 19th century. All five verses are sung in the traditional order of the hymn.

The usual suspects (not the movie) : Elf, Love Actually, Die Hard, Christmas Story, etc.I shot a documentary about my grandfather years ago, he was born on Christmas day and also married on Christmas day, so we rewatch that every year during the holidays.
