Going to a Rock concert (or any musical genre for that matter) can often be as exhilirating an experience as going to the movies, if not more so. Attending a live performance of a beloved band or discovering an new artist often constitute some of our best memories, so I invite you here to share some of your best experiences as music lovers, as well as listing all (or most, if you can't remember all of them) artists you've seen live. What was the best concert you ever attended and which artist you wish you could have seen live or see in the future. Out of the top of my head, here are the artists that I've (mostly) had the pleasure of seeing per…

As the title would suggest, which music videos did/do you love for their “mini-movie” qualities?! Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ springs to mind as an example. Anyone collect vinyl? Started a few years ago with bands I like, most collectable being my Slipknot - Mate. Feed. Kill. Repeat. coloured vinyls - 4 colours 200 of each worldwide (although am considering letting these go). More recently have got into collecting movie soundtracks/scores on coloured vinyl and picture discs.

Just what the title says - only one song per artist. I listed 20 songs from 20 artists but feel free to add more if you wish. As I had to delete the original thread due to getting an error message each time the page loaded (perhaps due to the many YT video links that were shared), I re-posted this topic with the intention of listing the titles of the songs in the following format. My list in chronological order: DON'T TALK (PUT YOUR HEAD ON MY SHOULDER) by THE BEACH BOYS (from PET SOUNDS - 1966) THE DOLPHINS by FRED NEIL (from FRED NEIL - 1966) STRAWBERRY FIELDS FOREVER by THE BEATLES (from MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR - 1967) …

There are a lot of cover songs, but not all of them are really successful. What are the covers you like, you find very funny or really unexpected ? Original songs aren't necessary songs you like 😉

Yesterday at home, doubting what music to play while I drink something calmly when I come from work, I asked myself: what is the music album with the best 5.1 mix I have? It is hard to say. There is very well done music in 5.1 format. I have some Pink Floyd editions whose version 5.1 I love. And the Blu-Ray Audio's I have ... I think are wonderful, jewels that -probably- will disappear from the market, and that, however, allow you to enjoy that music at an amazing level of quality. Listening Queen "A night at the Opera" on DTS HD 5.1 is blessed glory. "Bohemian Rhapsody" at that level of quality resonates as if I had each group member…

What albums over the years have you disliked on first listen, but have revisited to find a new appreciation or love for ... For me its this Marilyn Manson The Pale Emperor I can thank John Wick for my renewed love of this man and his work. I would definitely be describe as a HUGE fan of his earlier work by close friends and family to the point of even wearing white contacts years ago and ALWAYS wearing one of his various tour shirts, but after Golden Age my interest in him started to thin out the more he wanted to be Mr Celeb at the time. A string of not so great albums didn't help either. My respect and love for him was sl…

To imagine a metal world without Norway´s legendary DIMMU BORGIR, seems quite unfathomable. Founded in 1993 by Shagrath, Silenoz and Tjodalv, the Oslo trio infernale quickly gained momentum in the underground scene with their debut EP »Inn I Evighetens Mørke«. The band released two albums, »For All Tid« (1994) and »Stormblåst« (1996) before they signed to Nuclear Blast and released »Enthrone Darkness Triumphant« (1997). This was a major step forwards for the band, and an album that helped change the way the world acknowledged extreme metal in a massive way. DIMMU BORGIR might have started as a pitch-black pioneer of the Norwegian black metal scene, but quickly evolved in…
