For some reason the Kimmel wouldn't load. I think I've seen that before. It is hilarious. Yeah, that movie looks great. A love letter to the city according to Allen. You have a good eye, that's Kodak 5222 BW. Amazing if well lit. Also used for the BW sequences of Momento. And I believe used as the base for the new large format (IMAX) BW stock that was created for Nolan to shoot the BW scenes in Oppenheimer IIRC. Manhattan the movie? . . . maybe that's a convo for a DM. 🤔

It's worth it just for Justin Timberlake. Wasn't a music fan of his, but any super star that can make a fool of himself and completely own it, I'm a fan of theirs. Hilarious.

@Fortis93 do you like that movie? I know people hate it and it's not a very sensitive-to-other-cultures movie, which I am about, but I laugh my a$$ off at this movie.

I just finished watching this. Interesting dude. I appreciate his honesty about what he was doing, and the reality of what his movies were. But, @Fortis93, why didn't he go independent? I mean, he loved the indy new wave directors, he was familiar with the concept, it seems like it would have occurred to him to do that. Any ideas? Was he addicted to stars and all the big toys only Hollywood could provide him? Was it personal? Did he have some kind of an existential crisis after Rollerball (beyond the legal issues). That is a remarkable string of hits he created, seems like someone would have given him a chance outside of the system. But, I'm not as familiar with him as you are.

Anybody watch Archie? We binged it. If you're looking for a good show, you can pass on it. If you like Cary Grant, but don't know much about his life, and are curious, but don't want to read a biography, it's enjoyable. If you really really dig those Hollywood look-a-likes from your last corporate sales seminar in Vegas, you'll really love it.

The algorithm has been throwing this series up, so I ordered this one to see what they’re like. I buy multi-retailer UCEs pretty regularly and like a lot of them. Curious to see how they generally compare with this series. (for a non-steel book edition)

Well, four and a half years later, looks like it's coming. On my excel spreadsheet that I use to track my GBs, this edition was third from the bottom (last), of editions I wondered if/when I would actually get. Very very cool, excited to actually have it. Thanks MP.
