Oh my ... The Fullslip is gorgeous, so beautiful but the double lenti is very nice also. Still a huge preference for the Fullslip 😍
Same for me. I'm glad I went FS, but the DL looks better than I thought it would.
These hype videos do make me smile a bit, though . . . so dramatic, with those effects and that music.

@BreakBeatDJ I love how Al Green can intertwine some of his secular songs (this is when I was 1st introduced to his music) that I also enjoy and as a Christian myself enjoy his Christian songs tremendously❣️🙏
Thanks for the Al Green holiday album recommendation. It was my go at making breakfast for the house this morning, so I put it on the bluetooth speaker. Great listen.

In accordance with the rules, I'll post my five favorite television shows of all time - with a little extra. Here goes.
1) To date, nothing touches the great years of The West Wing. For years, I said, "I wish that we lived in Jed (Josiah) Barlet's America." The show was some of the best writing that you'll see in any media - not to mention from Aaron Sorkin. The cast is marvelous and kept it together when Sorkin departed. I would also love to see this in a premium treatment - much less bluray.
2) When I used to cohost my radio show on pop culture, I used to say that I squee'd like a teen-aged girl in the Fall and a new season of Supernatural was about to come out. The Winchesters are my favorite on screen duo and - perhaps - the best. That it was on WB/CW made it somehow better than if it has been hampered by the big networks. It's also a testament to the show, it's fans and Jared and Jensen that it lasted 15 years. To date, episode 15 from season 6, The French Mistake, is the single greatest episode of television. I implore you to watch this. You do not need to have watched the rest of the series to appreciate it - though you should. I would love a Steelbook treatment of this show.
3) S/he's not Doctor Who. S/he's The Doctor, and for good reason. No one has saved the universe and earth in television history than The Doctor. My love for the show began in the Eighties when I was turned on to the show by a high school friend. When Russell T. Davies relaunched the show, I was excited and jumped from the start. I often struggle at justifying this 50 year old+ show so low on my ranking list. It will be #1 on many others' lists I'm sure. During the Tenant and Smith years, I find it hard pressed to find better seasons of television (though Supernatural 5, West Wing 2 and Breaking Bad F are close). Though The French Mistake from Supernatural is my favorite single episode of all time of any television show, Doctor Who hold 3 of my top 5. The Doctor's Wife, Listen and Silence in the Library all are in my top 5 for a Tenant, Smith, Capaldi trifecta. My phone case is a TARDIS, and everyone tells me they love that show when they see it (clerks, servers, etc.). The question that must be asked at that point is: Who's your favorite Doctor? One of my most prized possessions is the complete series in Steelbook - each and everyone ordered from the UK.
4) Is there a greater line delivered in television history than, "I am the danger!" I believe it's hard pressed to find. I was immediately taken with Bryan Cranston's Walter White from the pilot episode. Unlike other shows, this one had no down time. There was no dud of a season. There were no bad episodes. In fact, I would go so far as to say that the Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul series are the bet one-two punch in television. I adore my Zavvi Steelbooks, but I do regret not buying the set of the complete series which came in a toxic waste drum.
5) I'd be remiss if I didn't include the Star Trek Universe on my list. Collectively, I've enjoyed more hours of television watching Star Trek: TOS, Star Trek: Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager, Star Trek: Enterprise, Star Trek: Discovery, Star Trek: Picard, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds; as well as the movies from TOS, TNG and JJA. Mr. Spock and Captain Kirk are third on my list of on-screen duos (JD and Turk being #2). The Star Trek Universe is so rich and imaginative. I chuckle today at the things we use that are directly from Star Trek "science fiction." I love having TOS, Discovery and Picard in Steelbook. I'd love for other series to come out in Steelbook as well. Check out my fun Enterprise set.
Those are the top five. Other honorable mentions are: Sherlock, Agents of SHIELD, Daredevil, Loki, Justified, Agent Carter, The X-Files, Game of Thrones (though what a BAD last season) and The Gilmore Girls (my wife's favorite show).
Solid post. I enjoy reading member's strong feelings for, and opinions about, the shows/movies they love. Makes me want to revisit some of these shows.

@BreakBeatDJ your post made me think of one of my fav singers and was wondering if you’ve ever gone to one of his concerts in the past or seen him in person? 🧐 🎄
Oh man, don't get me started on Al Green shows. I've seen him at least three times, and in smaller intimate settings. His concerts are part church and part soul party. Such great crowds, and he moves between classic soul singer and Reverend Al Green smoothly. Great performer, and his crowds are always full of joy. I'm too young to remember him when he was in his prime, but I have much respect and have many re-issues and original vinyls of his classics.
(not to quibble, and I'm not suggesting you don't know this Mike, but my former musicologist self has to note: Al Green isn't jazz, more soul/gospel)

Great photograph. Traveling for business or pleasure?
I used to go to NY every year around Christmas time but haven't been back since covid. I miss it.
Hey bud, didn't see this.
I still have clients in New York and go back once a month usually. I always hang with friends and go see jazz and eat a steak at Raoul's. I lived there for 10 years, so it feels like home, I guess.
The holidays are a great time there, no doubt. It's magical getting whacked with shopping bags by the crowds on 5th Ave and seeing New Yorkers filled with such goodwill. 😆
I am kidding. It really is special around the holidays.

I chose edition B which uses the Boxmotive of edition A for the digipack.
Definitely prefer this version, because in almost complete white, the edition A box is rather dull to look at imho.

I'll take a DL or an FS. Not both, one or the other depending on what others want. I'm good with either.

When I got the Theory 11 LotR deck last month I thought I'd probably like the Kings Wild Project Fellowship a little better. And, I do.
Theory11's deck is awesome, and maybe a bit more lux, but this one is fantastic.
Jackson Robinson took a much more storybook approach to his deck. Theory 11 is much more regal.
Theory 11 LotR belongs in Rivendell, Kings Wild belongs in the Shire.
If anyone is interested in signing up for a Kings Wild subscription for 2023, they will be announcing some new tiers and pricing soon. They may have already, but I don't think so.
If anyone is interested in a subscription, you can go to their website.
If you have any questions about which one to join in, feel free to PM me.
They are doing some great editions during 12 days of Christmas, some beautiful gilded decks.

That looks very nice and I’m excited for my upcoming Goodfellas set.
But for the life of me, I don’t understand this acetate slip trend… and with printed rating logos to boot!
Why not simply print the title and brand logo on the spine and dispense with the cheap, flimsy plastic case?!
Otherwise, a very solid release.
After watching the unboxing vids for Goodfellas and Scarface, I'm coming around to @R1s1ngs0n POV.
I think these are great, and as I said above, I hope they keep doing these, I'm all for a long series with diverse titles with some uniformity.
But . . . the spines with no titles on them . . . not loving that. So, your only choice is to have the acetate slip with the ratings logos, or have a blank spine, as @R1s1ngs0n pointed out. And, the spines are super plain without the slips. Hmmmmmm
Right now, not in hand, it is a small quibble, but we will see in a couple weeks when they start arriving.

I'm actually shocked this GB is still open. I'm guessing there are very few A and B left given the print run.
I signed up for B a while ago. I’m assuming that we will be invited to GB club after this closes like the other re-opened GBs, correct?-

Hi Everyone! 👋
I have been away for a little bit... very busy with work, holiday setup, Wife's B-Day and was even sick a few days in there... but thankfully that hasn't stopped the deliveries from coming!
With that said... on to the goods!
First Up, the Classic Pulp Fiction:
A good looking Steel, I do like the bright red. Looking forward to watching this again in all it's 4K glory!
Front/Back:
Inner w/Discs:
and Without:
Next, Thanks to Everyone at MP, I present The Scorpion King:
I really do like the look and quality of the outer box. The Cards and Book are all good looking as well, nice quality. The Lenticular is more of a "3-D" style, not really a changing image, but it looks good as well.
Sealed Box:
Open Box Front/Back:
Slipcover Front/Back:
Steel Front/Back:
Steel Inner:
Book Front/Back:
Poster:
Collector Cards:
Production Images:
And Finally... Just arrived today... the Top Gun 2 Movie Set from Best Buy:
Not a bad looking collection of goodies. I am double dipping these movies, have both in their standalone Steelbooks as well. But these are a very nice addition for sure!
Outer Box:
Inner Layer 1 (Showing Steel Fronts):
Steel Backs:
Steel Inners (no images on interior, little bit of a let down):
Inner Layer 2:
Some Swag (Coasters, Dog Tags, Key Ring):
Some nice glossy "Photos" (that do have a nice authentic feel), as well as some Magnets:
Last but not least... My new favorite decoration! Thanks so much @Masterblaster!
Hopefully I can keep caught up now... need to see if there are any GB's I'm missing out on!
I always appreciate you being an opener, like myself.
Are both dog tags Maverick’s? Thanks Or is the other one Goose’s?
