Meant to ask a follow up, are you a musician @BreakBeatDJ? I’m assuming so given your username 😁
Yeah. I am actually getting ready to go to my Wednesday night dad band practice (it's on Thursday this week). Some here know I have a game night every other Wednesday, on the other Wednesday we do a dad band. There are 7 of us, and who ever shows up jams and it's so much fun. Were terrible most of the time but it doesn't matter. We're the best band in my buddy Rob's garage, that's enough for us.
You've got good taste if you like Whiplash IMHO my man. I look forward to your future receptions . . . and losing to you in the Bond thread.

Yes! Whiplash. Fantastic pick up. Are you a musician? In to jazz? You don't have to be to like this, just checking.

I had started watching a few years ago but had finally given up because I had lost the thread of the story.
I'm starting the series again from the beginning, under good conditions this time, and I'm really enjoying it.
I'm at the end of season 2 and I hope season 3 will be as good. That's interesting. That was exactly what happened to me. I started and got in to it, and sometime toward the end of season 2 got distracted or something and didn't get back in to it. I have now recently started from the beginning and am more focused. Are those West Worlds steels?

I think these look great. Genuinely shocked at releases that exceeds my expectations. Cinematic and stylized.

Good Evening all my Dear Friends and a Very Merry Christmas to each and all of you! 🎅
I am so very privileged, to have the opportunity to provide a pic of my incredible Secret Santa treasures from an incredible Forum member, @BreakBeatDJ 🤩
I can hardly believe the incredible generosity of this fine Gentleman, whom I must admit, I was only fleetingly familiar with prior to this wonderful reception.
We shared a few notes betwixt us before Christmas but little did I know, that by mentioning a few items I had on my Santa list, the Chap would leap hurdles to fulfill dang near the entire list!!!
I happily present to you, the following;
first, the book, The Teutonic Knights, is one I've been eying for sometime now. I am a strong history enthusiast and I have a number of books (and vids) on many of the Crusader Orders that arose during that conflict (i.e. Templars, Hospitaliers). The TK was an Order that I knew only a bit about, since the majority of their history is far from the deserts of the Levant and focused more on the "Pagan" settlements of Livonia, Lithuania and Poland during the tumults of the 10th to 12 centuries. This book, written in 1903 by one of the preeminent scholars of the early 20th Century (Sienkiewicz) will go far in fleshing out many aspects of the Order I was not aware of.
- next, the Card Deck "Mythical Creatures" is drop dead gorgeous and a total surprise! It beautifully illustrates some fearsome medieval critters that I'm sure flew on the pennants of many army battlefields during that romantic timeframe.
- then of course, we have not one but TWO incredible tv series that I've been chomping at the bit to watch and had certainly full plans on purchasing. Those being "Vikings" and "The Last Kingdom". Again, two eras from our martial past I have only fleeting information on.
- then, the extra mile, some delicious yummies for me as well! I love Lindor chocolates and I'm not about to share these ones with anyone! heh heh.
- The chocolate covered pretzels, now that's something I had no idea even existed! Since I love both chocolate AND pretzels, I very much look forward to munching on these, whilst watching my great new tv series' !!! 😍
Thank-you, ever so much once again Mark and I assure you, I am giddy with excitement delving into each one of these wonderful gifts! 😍

Hey Jeff!! @Grendel So glad that everything arrived safely and you liked the lot. It was fun hunting that stuff down and learning about some new TV shows.
I hope the rest of your holiday was great. It was an absolute pleasure getting to know you through this process.
Utz has been a regional producer of pretzels since the 1920s I believe. They have many other chips and snacks and are national now, as of the last 15 years or so, but they still feel regional to me. I hope you like them.

So it appears I misspoke. Regular members have a time limit on editing (sorry @BreakBeatDJ) but tiered do not as a perk of membership.
Gary
All good my man. Thanks for looking in to it.
@hansreinhardt @nathan_s82 and I will do it manually. I’m not sure what tier @Ryan is.
Hey @hansreinhardt, I think you said you wanted to track re-watch vs first time. If you take a look at @Veum post above for his layout, he created a simple way to track this with an asterisk. He has some other good ideas in his layout as well.
The goal is to have fun and share the movies/TV we watch so I think Mike will cut us some slack if the layouts don’t match.
And one thing I wanted to clear up . . . If you’re watching a movie and there is a shirtless pizza delivery guy and a women who answers the door with no money to pay for the pizza wearing a peekaboo teddy . . . there may be a different thread for that.

Ultimately it's up to @Veum, but I'd rather keep it all here. Thanks @Gary K for the suggestion though. I'm happy to go that way if everyone agrees.
I think if we come up with some sort of format standard, it will be easy to find the posts with movies.
If I'm overthinking it, let me know, but here's a suggestion to still keep it fairly neat for those of us Members. Feel free to chime in with other suggestions
So, this would be one entry.
01/10/23 THE AVIATOR 3 Stars
- I thought this movie was a movie that was definitely a movie, I saw this movie and after thinking about it, it's a movie.
Then all we would do is add to it by copying and pasting on our next post.
01/10/23 THE AVIATOR 3 Stars
- I thought this movie was a movie that was definitely a movie, I saw this movie and after thinking about it, it's a movie.
01/16/23 THE AVENGERS 4 Stars
- after the movie was over, I realized I had seen a movie, and thought, yes, yes, a movie.
So, we don't have to scroll back to see what we've posted/seen, our last post will always represent all our movies/shows and fairly easy to read format
It's def more work for the Members but it would be easy to find our lists.
Thoughts?

Same here. I’m impressed with the creativity and novelty of this set.
It def seems different. I just wish they could do more realistic renderings. I think someone needs to rethink this whole beauty shot format we've all come to expect. No, I don't have any answers, but I am always left with the feeling that things like texture, scale, finish, etc, are nearly impossible to judge from this "normal" format of beauty shots.
@GuyIncognit0 and I were discussing this yesterday in terms of some of the finish differences between the "exclusives" of retailers. It's impossible to tell other than by written descriptions.
I guess as someone who has done countless product shots in studio, and has art directed or photoshopped renderings myself of unfinished products in the past, maybe my expectations are unrealistic. My point is, I think it's going to be amazing, and these BS renderings are not doing the final product any justice. My two cents.

If in doubt get both… KS/MP and BN is trying out different printing methods and finishes on the FS so should be rather special.. the Lenticular is a no brainer as its full wraparound …
Thanks for chiming in. Yeah, went OC. I've been holding off on the OC thing, because of storage more than anything to be honest, but I'm slowly breaking down.

Each component of the media book is made as a thick foam+artcard page.
The red spine is each page (with 2 sides)
Interesting. Thanks. Has there been another release with this type of Media book?

@BreakBeatDJ this threw me for a loop as I can edit my post(s) so I asked a MOD Gary (that has joined the thread) if he can look into this for us! 😉
Stay tuned into the 2023: Track the Movies You Watch thread for hopefully an answer!! 🙏
Okay, Thanks bud. Yeah, I can edit for a brief moment after I post, but after that, I can not. Would love to participate, but if it's a hassle for the mods @Gary K it's not biggie.

So, what are those red spines on each of the media books?

Hey @Veum. Thanks for initiating the movie log thread. A question. I can't edit my posts usually. How do I add movies to my reserved posts in that thread once Jan 1 comes around? Is it a member thing, a rank thing?
I know Tuesday is your "surfing MP while surfing" day, but take a break and hit me up when you can.
