Would cost me just above 35 dollars to import a copy on 4k (amaray). I'll just continue to wait patiently and put that money towards an edition that caters for my 4k needs 🤪

This is by far, and purely because Manta doesn't really have any bad releases, if some just lacking in comparison, the worst release from Manta.

 

From the steelbook to art choice on each slip, this is bad.

 

The NovaMedia lenti is incredible, this whole bundle is, unbelievably, such a hard pass. A rare deep stumble from Manta.

You know, I'm hyping up this release and shaming people for paying extra on 4K... but I'm very, very tempted to go get a Nova copy... at a drastic upcharge.

John has one in store on here... albeit still an upcharge. Would suit you in the US though as postage all included in price 😉 👍🏻

I believe we still have some of the Nova OC for sale in the store or from @Masterblaster   Always good to check before going to third parties.

I’m surprised this isn’t 4K and I’m in the minority as I appreciate the original art on the WEA steel and the slips look terrific to me.

The full slip with real googly eyes seems fun but I’ll pass and be content with NM OC.

My guess is that A24 wouldn't allow/distribute a 4k disc in Korea/HK. It doesn't bother me as I picked up the 4k amaray for $9 at Walmart last black friday. A 4k premium may never come, so the best alternative is to try and find a cheap 4k disc somewhere.

This one click is growing on me the more I look at it. I'm also a weirdo who keeps premiums sealed so I don't mind the blu ray part of it. And I'm always replacing disks to put 4k in my favorite steels and such.

Not weird. And your not alone. This is art to me. Stays as pristine as possible and gets displayed on a nice shelf.

I went for an OC plus a FS because I'm intrigued by a slip with real googly eyes on it. Will probably be awesome in hand! 😁

The issue I'm aware of is the subtitles. The European releases only have subtitles in their country's language. For example, I have the French steelbook and it only has French subtitles.

And the reason they did that they paid maxifunk a obscene amount of money for his steel design.

And alot have commented how it looks like going down the inside of a plane isle 🤣🤣🤣

And once you now look at it you can unsee it now 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

On sleeping on it, I further enjoy the exchange of the broad color palettes between the slips and the steels, particularly with the DL. It's a sort of cosmic and pulpy surrealism that I think suits the movie quite well.

 

The problem with these "EEAO" premiums has frankly been the lack of official art available. Manta has done something genuinely, hugely different. It may not be as picturesque as, say, the Nova releases, but there's a lot of interesting novelty and creativity in it. I look forward to putting some kind of custom set together, but, yes, I can totally see the disappointment in those who missed out on the Nova.

The "real googly eyes for decoration" is simply a bunch of googly eyes in the envelope right? not an amazing googly eye embossing?

Not 100% sure but probably they will be stick-ons we can add. Either way, I like it!
