Hi Psychos!

I've had the opportunity to go to the movies in an open place, under the stars. It's not usual here, I'm my city there are only usual theaters, and it's an pity... because to enjoy a movie under the stars in summer is a nice experience, remains from other times, and I like it a look.

For few minutes I felt myself like one character of "Cinema Paradiso".

I always enjoyed a good Drive-In Movie (especially when it's a 2 for 1 deal). Sadly, most closed down due to lack of support. The experience of watching it in your car with your family and getting snacks from the Concession stand was an amazing experience.

That's another experience I'd like to try one day: a Drive-In Movie. And I like that kind of rituals, they have their charm.

Deep down, watching a film has a lot of ritual, it's what makes going to the cinema special, even to a modern multiplex where you're comfortable lying in your armchair with your feet up; or sitting in a wooden chair under the stars in summer in a square in your town or city.

Even if you go to a small -and sometimes uncomfortable- art cinema, watching a film "discovering it" rather than just going through the motions, with other people in the dark, strangers like you, without being able to rewind or pause, is a special, different experience.

Something that Prime Video or Netflix will never be able to offer.

IMO, of course :)

Finally, it's Friday! What's your weekend plans??

giphy(2).gif.05b88d9feeb027403f5f7326d4437da6.gif

29 Days Until Retro Expo (TMNT Celebration)

74 Days Until Halloween

97 Days Until Thanksgiving

129 Days Until Christmas

I am doing renovations at home and I have a lot of work ahead of me. Depending on my mood, I'll paint a wall, assemble a piece of furniture, lay a new kitchen floor, or smash old furniture with a hammer so I can finally throw it away.

Yes, that's the plan.

And go to the movies / dinner with friends.

I don’t know how anybody can live in the southern United States during the summer months—it has been BRUTAL this year!
