Kind of disappointed this isn't a 4K release.

Especially since it's one of the many movies celebrating their 35th anniversaries this year.

Robocop, The Lost Boys, The Untouchables, etc. all got special 4K releases this year.

Don't see why this should be an exception.

There's also a small detail they got wrong on the front cover, which I'm sure you spotted 😉

The front is pretty good. The back, as usual with these WWA steels, is very uninspired. As for the inside image, I don't even recognize it from the movie... is this really the best they could have chosen for inside art? and what's with this latest annoying 'red filter' trend 🙄

I recognize the inside art. It's the scene right before they question the kids. They where about to walk up to a house & it explodes unexpectedly. Could have made for some cool inside art if the picture wasn't covered with red tint 🙄. This whole steelbook is

I'm ashamed to admit I don't even remember that scene. Saw this movie plenty of times but a long, long, long time ago.

LW2 remains my favorite but I don't have any intention of getting it, even if they release the sequels.

Sad to say but

There was a fan-made poster that came out a couple of years ago that I thought would've been fantastic for an anniversary release.

Whoever made that steelbook probably slapped it together in 5 minutes.

Probably a 36th anniversary 4k edition in the making just to take the piss 😄

Nothing. I was actually going to post that one. It's a favourite of mine and would make an excellent steelbook cover.

Maybe the other one might work better as back artwork.

Really?

This looks like someone  spilled yellow paint over some good original artwork.

Colors dont match the movie at all. Its not Lawrence of Arabia or Indy. Terrible.

No 4K, so it will be the same Blu-ray without the Extended Version 🤬. A Steelbook Boxset with all 4 in 4K with the long versins is needed, everythig else is kinda pointless.

I will say, as someone who isn’t a completionist unless each entry is totally stellar, I’m happy I can just buy the editions from the movies I love. Same for The Godfather.
