1917 won the 2 main awards, best director and best film. 

 

I haven't seen it yet but must be a decent watch. Phoenix won best actor for Joker which seemed only right from what I've heard about that performance.

@Robertm89 thanks for the heads-up as I went and put it on our recorder 🎬 📺... we get it here tonight in the USA on BBC AMERICA at 9PM EST... I have to watch it at another time as the SUPER BOWL takes 1st President!! 🏈

Never been able to get in to American football. It's too stop start for me. They play for like 30 seconds and then stand and talk about it for 5 minutes afterwards 😂😂😂

Yeah same here. Not long now to wait for Joker release. 

 

Parasite is actually being released in some cinemas in UK again from 7th Feb, might try get to the cinema to see it.

Well what's everyone been upto of late?

And anyone got anything planned?

 

Myself damn computer went it was so on its last legs I nearly cut my hand on it not good, so at that point I have had no choice but too replace it, so picked up last night now trying to get all up together as my old one was and working out differences between win 7 to chromebook keyboard layout different but slowly getting there and touchscreen is high improvement makes like 15.6 inch phone 😎

Also this weekend coming up massive sort out of cupboards trying to get 2 bottom halves of Billy bookcases into one my wifes been filling with junk for years 🙄 so junk in bin.

And then massive sort out steels wife's been putting back and there in right mess and then also free cupboard will acquire for my older steels the space gain will be for my steels.

Got to grow somehow right 😆

@Basil my plans are just as mundane. I gotta renew my license and get an enhanced one because I now need one to fly within my own damn country because apparently being born and raised in the U.S. isn't enough.  And are they gonna quit the taking off the shoes bullshit now that people need better i.d.? NO! Of course not that'd make sense.  Then I gotta rearrange some steels to make room for new ones.  Probably post a couple on eBay, then sendan invoice payment reminder to a buyer. 

On a funner note I'll probably buy the Monster Hunters iceborn expansion. May also Finaly rent/watch Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

Well my friend I just got home from work & I’m about to leave right back out because I have an appointment with the mechanic to check out the brakes on our truck. Censor light popped on the other day & the traction control has been off. Hopefully whatever the problem it won’t take long to fix.

 

As far as other plans over here in the states 

 

 

is coming & for the whole month of February it’s 

 

 

So me & Erica are going to celebrate by watching movies all this month that represents both. I’ll post about them as I watch. First I’m going to post about what I’ve watched lately & then I have to make our list of movies for the month. There is a ton of good ones to choose from, We want have time for them all, but we will get through some.

Enhanced license? I renewed mine last year & have heard nothing of this.

@Mdk14092 that sounds like a right pain in the arse changing the licence all so you can drive presuming in one of the other states

 

When visited Florida few years ago only thing I had to get coming from uk was a permit to allow uk licence to be used there

 

As it goes I've just renewed my photo licence for next 10 years and as luck would have it they now do it online if they have an upto date passport photo they use electronic image of that and slap that in and it all turns up in 5 days instead of usual 3 weeks 😆

 

Hope you get it sorted ok, how long do you have to update over there?

@basil for driving I could just renew by mail but for flying even within the states, starting in October you need a passport or an enhanced license. So I gotta pay more and dig out my birth certificate.
