Two angels, Damiel (Bruno Ganz) and Cassiel (Otto Sander), glide through the streets of Berlin, observing the bustling population, providing invisible rays of hope to the distressed but never interacting with them. When Damiel falls in love with lonely trapeze artist Marion (Solveig Dommartin), the angel longs to experience life in the physical world, and finds--with some words of wisdom from actor Peter Falk (playing himself) -- that it might be possible for him to take human form.

Great film, as special as it's beautiful, in a glorious and suitable black and white. 

 

Its elegance and its soul can allow interesting things in the edition design. I wait with curiosity and impatience. 

 

Thanks to WCL for this edition. 

 

PS: I know this film and "Paris Texas", by Wim Wenders, are not blockbusters, and won't have big big numbers selling its edition, obviously, and this is a business, WCL is not an NGO; but... it would be so so nice to have an elegant box with both editions...

Thrilled to see WCL doing this one and Paris, Texas. Can't wait to see the designs! Any chance of an ongoing Wenders WCL series? I'd be interested in seeing Until the End of the World again—it's been a lot of years.

A duo set with a high quality box (like John Waters) would be 

I suspect it will happen since among their announcements after the release of John Waters were two titles from each of three directors.

I dearly hope WCL continues with the thick cardboard and sharp edges of the last few releases. I've also loved the individual fullslips for the scanavos.

These two decisions have made the last few releases feel especially premium, in my opinion. They remind of the 2001 set
