So, big day in the Moutaw household.  Back in the spring, when I first started collecting 4K discs, I ordered 5 movies from a retailer here in the US.  Of course, none ship until they all ship, one of the discs was a pre-order of Blackhat (the only Michael Mann movie that I haven’t seen).  The others were editions that I was having trouble finding in the US.

 

Blackhat was initially set for release in May, then they moved it back to July (along with my entire order of course), then September.  Then they moved it to 11/28.  So my entire order kept getting pushed back because of Blackhat. Then, a couple of days ago, I got a shipping notification out of the blue!

 

My understanding is that it was pushed back to allow the addition of the “international” version, which is the version that I will probably watch as people seem to think it’s the best one.  One of my movies didn’t come, I assume it’s now out of stock.  Hope to get it, it’s a special edition of The Witch, a movie that I love.  Anyway, here’s everything else (haven’t seen Get Carter or Lost Children since the 1990s, very excited to watch them again):

I was really torn on which Hellraiser set to get, I think you made a great decision   I think I have all the Universal Essentials other than Schindler, you probably just talked me into it.  Been trying to give my wallet some relief but there are too many good releases coming out!

This actually showed up yesterday, but I haven’t had time to post it.  This is my first Group Buy to show up and I want to thank people who have answered my dumb GB questions along the way: definitely @Masterblaster, @deckard99 and @Gary K, and I’m sure there are others that I’m forgetting.

 

Really is a great set, every surface embossed and/or textured.  The lenticular magnet in particular has made Heywood Jr very happy  I won’t post all of the pics because they’ve already been posted very recently.

This also showed up yesterday.  I had the US steelbook already, but this is the one that had me excited.  Glad they used the traditional image of Father Merrin under the light post for both the steelbook and the poster.  Sometimes you just have to do the obvious, iconic thing.  Though it’s a little weird that both sides of the poster are essentially the same.
