Are they only going to make this available on their site?

That’s the only place I was able to find the Lighthouse 4K, I suspect they’re doing this with all their releases.  May be that I just didn’t look hard enough for the 4K but I couldn’t find it anywhere else at the time.  Cool set, decent price, I had no complaints with them.

I think $70 (with shipping total) is overpriced. You can get two or three arrows for that.

I don't put these in the same category as Arrow releases and I think a retail price of $58 is reasonable . I have the Green Knight which is really nice and I'm sure this one will be too. Besides I love the Talking Heads and have an Atmos setup, so this is a must for me 😁

100% agreed. I have been a bit frustrated since yesterday over the announcement, as this is a film that I have been wanting my hands on since last year, and A24 putting out an overpriced 4K that lacks almost all of the original special features from the 2009 Blu-Ray, while also charging $7 for shipping is a bit greedy. If they were including actual cool stuff (besides their 64-page book), then I could justify the price. Money isn't an issue, but my frustration is with them charging so much for so little.

Let's use "The Lighthouse" as a good example. Why would I pay $60 for the A24 version that barely had much, when I could pay $30-$35 for the Arrow version that had better encoding, more stuff and special features for half the price? A24 is absolutely out-of-their-minds with these prices, and as a collector, I just find it insulting. If you are going to charge high prices, you NEED to justify them from my perspective. I can get 3 boutique 4Ks for the price of this ($71 for me including tax + shipping). Apologies for my rant. 🤣

@Gary K I deeply apologize for creating one in the 4K section, as when I searched, I wasn't finding anything for previous posts, so that was my bad.

My apologies on that, as I should have corrected what I originally said. It's the same encoding, but does run at a higher bitrate, so the image does look slightly better than the A24 disc.

Agree a gazillion percent. For that price, A24 better include a mini-replica of David Byrne's white jacket as a collectable slipcover.
