Its horrible isnt it what people are capable of. The ending is open to interpretation and as far as I know Vinterberg always refused to give a clear explanation.

For me, the shot is a warning for Mikkelsen, that he will never be safe and accepted.

A movie that is as bleak as this one yet having a completely different storyline is Paul Schraders Affliction.

Morgen zusammen!

 

So, es ist wieder etwas ruhiger bei uns.

Wir hatten auf Grund der Gesundheitssituation meines Papas (und eigentlich auch der Mama) beide vor den Feiertagen in eine unserer Ferinewohnungen in unserem Haus geholt.

Ich hoffte, dass das funktioniert. Leider, leider, leider hat uns diese Situation bewiesen, dass Mama auf Grund Ihres Alzheimers nicht mir in der Lage ist, ausserhalb ihrer gewohnten Umgebung zu leben - auch wenn diese ein grosses Haus ist. Somit sind jetzt beide wieder in ihrem Haus. Sollte Papa noch eine Weile Herr über den Krebs sein, will er sie erst in eine stationäre Betreuung geben, wenn sie ihn nicht mehr erkennt. Die Erkenntnis all dieser Tatsachen und die vielen Dinge, die ich mit meinem Papa klären konnte im Hinblick auf das "Was passiert, wenn" - je nach Entwicklung der gesundheitlichen  Situation - war wichtig. Auch wenn das wahrlich keine schönen Gesprächsthemen sind, bin ich froh, dass wir dies alles nun über Weihnachten geklärt haben.

Daniel, mein herzlichstes Beileid. Ich bekomme diese tragischen Schicksale in unseren Einrichtungen leider zur Zeit wöchentlich, fast täglich, mit.

Und nicht selten hätten sich einige Tode verhindern lassen, wenn die Leute nicht so oft so dumm wären und Hygiene, Schutz und ein wenig Zurückstellung des eigenen Amüsements wahrnehmen würden - das ist das Schlimmste daran.

Ich wünsche Dir bzw. unbekannterweise Euch viel Kraft!
