Good morning/afternoon everybody.

 

Today the day got up cold and rainy, although I guess talking about 13ºC (=55.4ºF) doesn't sound very cold, sure; but maybe it's because of the north wind, the ambienjt sensation is cold. 🥶

 

This weekend I have been concentrating on re-painting some rooms in my new home. It was already painted, but I didn't like the way it looked, and... in the end sometimes there is nothing better than doing things yourself. Not that I'm a great painter, but I certainly put more care than whoever had done it before there. 

 

Today is my team's game, I hope they win. After three months without a win, they could give me some joy. But pedagogically it is very interesting to be a fan of a team that does not win, that has never won any trophy; it is very useful to explain to children the value of work, of never stop trying things, and, in this culture of Instagram and false success, to show them that they must distinguish between false idols, and "their own", their people. My team may lose, but they will still be our guys. 👊

Good morning.

 

My team did not win yesterday either. It was supposed to be an exciting season, with the club's 100th birthday, and it's been a disastrous season. 

 

The most striking thing is the ease with which the fans go from adoring someone one day... to wanting to throw him out. Instead of giving calm to the team, they prefer to want to "burn" everything. 

 

It is the collective frustration assumed as the venting of small children.

 

There are friends who say that I have too much patience. But I am one of those who believe that Rome was not built in two days. And every project takes time.

 

But let's see if we can celebrate a victory soon. Confucius said that all roads, whether short or long, begin with a step.

 

And so it is. We need a step.
