Well Done Thumbs Up GIF by Purdue University

My family is from northern Indiana/Chicago.  1/3 of my cousins went to Purdue, 1/3 IU, 1/3 ND.  I came very close to going to Purdue, visited twice.  Sometimes wish I would have gone there for undergrad.  You're name makes a lot of sense now.

Oh wow, you an Indiana guy too?  I was born there but we moved when I was too young to remember.

Still go to visit a bunch though, love August in Indiana.  Amazing out there, love driving through those fields.

WHAT WOULD YOU DO . . . .

I found an eBay seller who was legit.

All steels 50%.

Black Friday deal 10% off of that.

$10 off on orders over $100.

With free shipping.

So, I started buying in batches of $100

The next day, I had buyers remorse.  I only really wanted about 1/3 of the titles.  The sale and the $100 challenge weakened me.

I emailed, canceled many of these orders.  They do it. Refund given, it shows up as cleared and cancelled.

This morning I get shipping notice for ALL the orders, even the ones I cancelled.

Easy answer - email them, let them know about the mistake, return the one's I cancelled . . . and that's what I did.

But, curious if anyone has had something like this happen.  Any interesting twists or turns?  Any freebie stories worth sharing?

I’ve had things like this happen and I always notify the seller or vendor that I received something I hadn’t ordered.  half the time they’ve told me to keep it since it’s not worth the trouble and expense of the retrn or we worked out a further discount.  Always I feel good that I did the right thing and that I banked positively in the “karma” bank.

In this case, I'm wondering if they only created the tracking numbers for your orders. If so, then the ones you cancelled may not actually ship even though you got a notice from the system.

While my wallet has developed a lot of open space, the word ”SALE” coming from John has me digging into every conceivable nook and cranny looking for spare change to pick something else up!

I placed an order with Zavvi for 3 steelbooks, and as of 2 days ago, I have now received them 3 times. On both the second and third deliveries of the duplicate items, I reached out to their customer service department. While I received acknowledgment, no further instructions have been sent to me.
As Gary stated, I know I did the right thing and will wait patiently for their response.
