  1. Im with you dude. I got a 4k and bluray copy coming and i hope they are pristine.
  2. I definitely will @Veum they are both blind buys based on yours and @Grendel recommendations. I think it will have to be a double feature when I get to them.
  3. Good Afternoon Psychos! The mail gods smiled upon me the past 2 days and delivered to me my my first premiums, my first criterions, my first Severin order and some other cheap steel books I found . Thank you to my friend @Grendel for my very first premium steel. CMA #12 IT 1990! Also, by pure coincidence, I received a box from the Netherlands today that also contained my very first Manta Lab Se7en. Today also happens to be the 25th anniversary of the movie releasing in U.S. theaters.
  4. This movie is Arnold at the peak of his prime in my opinion. However im an 80’s kid and watch everything of his still. True Lies is a very close second.
  5. If you like sci fi and bloody violence its amazing imo!
  6. @Hexxproof i was just like you just over a month ago. But everyone that i have interacted with here has been just as kind and respectful as the greeting messages. There are threads here for every taste but if your a horror fan check out The Horror Journals where our hosts @Hollywood E Rock And @Veum are doing 2 glorious months of horror movie reviews! However @CAYENNE-FAHRER Is right. Your wallet will hate you around here. welcome friend!
  7. Im not sure where to post this but do we have group buys for studio canal?
  8. Has anyone here gotten a special edition from second sight? Are they nice? I preordered the DOTD set but i just saw this morning that they are also doing a special edition of neil marshall’s dog soldiers which i found to be a very enjoyable werewolf movie.
  9. Frailty is such an under rated gem!
  10. Thanks @Scary Hair going on the “to buy” list. I didnt even realize there was a book series
  11. @Veum The way they turned this franchise around. Honestly I wasnt expecting a miracle when I saw this in the theater. But they really mad Myers serious again and it was brutal as all hell. I loved it and really like just moving forward from the first. Im really looking forward to the other two and was super disappointed that it got moved back
  12. @Veum Fantastic Film. Cant wait to revisit again. There are very few horror movies that have given me nightmares. This happens to be one of them. I really want to get my hands on the studio canal 4k set. I watched this flick over and over as a kid. Loved it then but havnt revisited it lately, I think its about time! I just watched this for the first time 2 years ago and loved it. I cant believe it took me this long to check it out. I hear 2 and 3 are good as well so maybe its time to get that shout box set
  13. I know this is from awhile ago but im catching up on old threads. Great choice @Hollywood E Rock!this is a staple in our house for the whole family on Halloween night as a double feature with the og halloween to round out the night. If you haven’t checked out the directors other holiday flick Krampus i highly recommend it. You can tell he has a love for the genre. Imo he did a great job with godzilla KOTM as well. I 100%agree with you on this. I tried to give it a go based on all the talk about it but couldnt get past 30 min of it. I just found it boring. I sure hope there are a few more horror hounds around here now @Scary Hair!
  14. I love that I've found a home in the Psychos. At first i was hesitant and not sure if it was going to be my thing but everyone here is kind, welcoming and eager to discuss a hobby that is a blast (albeit an expensive one). Im not sure about other people here but having discussions with most friends about movies doesn't really go further than the latest marvel or dc flick out there. Here, discussions about obscure horror movies , weird little flicks like the ninth gate, or mainstream like the new batman trailer (i haven't really liked a batman movie since the dark knight but this one has me excited now). thank you @xSNAKExPLISSKENx for this thread, i haven't had this much fun since ive gone to the movie theater. I miss those things...
  15. I got the same vibe @Fortis93. I havnt been excited for a batman movie since the dark night
  16. @Veum That is a beautiful edition of that book! I also enjoy collecting some books. Here are three of my favorite editions: The first one my wife got me for one of our anniversary’s and is my favorite book. (Movie was ok...) The second and third i picked up from a Stephen King dealer and got resigned when i saw him at a local book shop. Any one else here collect books too?
  17. @Fortis93 I too love the exorcist and the novel. I'm also a big fan of exorcist 3 but havnt read Legion yet. Have you had a chance to check it out and if you have how does it compare to the film?
  18. i wish i was a member when those GB’s came out.
  19. @xSNAKExPLISSKENx I really enjoyed the book. It had alot of dark themes to it that im sure were taboo for the time it was released. Even by todays standards its pretty dark and creepy to me. There are scenes in the book that are told in flashbacks that reminded me of the scene in Event Horizon when the crew finds the tape of what happened to the old crew of the ship.
