Side by side comparison between Blufans Venom DL and WeET Single Lenticular Editions... there is great depth on both releases but the WeET version seems clearer and with slightly better definition... still noth are great editions worth owning ... i think the Reverse side of the DL is better though ....

Well its been a few months since I graced these pages with an update so here we go ......... firstly the Matrix Trilogy from UHD club is now complete with all 3 now received and boy do they look good.... Top Marks to the retailer for all the love and hard work that has been put in to bring us this amazing Trilogy.... Massive thanks to all involved especially MP and @ksosk

The collection is pretty large and unfortunately not yet got around to photographing it all ...a work in progress so to speak .... I have @ 400 + bare steelbooks and a couple hundred + premium editions Plus various collectibles fromMP and a few select figures.

400 plus steelbooks that’s a hell of a lot isn’t it lol. I only got say 50 plus steelbooks and a few premiums but not been collecting for long.

Fully agree @ukade2327, that there's nothing small, when it comes to 50 steels, heh.

As you mentioned, it takes a while to grow a collection, of pretty much anything.

I get a bit nervous when I see folk making HUGE purchases of some rather pricey items.

There's no competition here my dear friends. Please, just buy what you plan to enjoy, not what you think others feel you might enjoy.

I'm certainly not one to give comfortable suggestions as to how to collect, as I'll go on splurges on occasion and then buy nothing for a couple of months (OK, weeks).

But this is not a cheap hobby and the glitter of a new release can fade after a while sitting on the shelf so, I sincerely hope that folks;

- actually sit down one eve and view their purchases

- are savvy enough to know when a Premium can be expected for a release, and hold off on the mundane Steel or Amaray if they know they will get the Premium

- display their coveted Premiums and share their joy with friends and family

- not double-dip on Premiums just because others do, and finally;

- buy for your enjoyment, not value, as the value is so very very fluid, especially with the current 2D/3D/4K choices available.

I've been collecting films on hard media for close to 30 years now and though not set up for 4K, I even have some of those (mind, the 2D is always present in the package).

I have yet to sell any, usually I'll gift some to either my kids or friends but I am becoming as of late, far more selective of my purchases. It helps that as far as older films that interest me are concerned, I'm pretty much caught up. BUT, they always seem to resurrect some older release with a brand new master or significant extras in a "Limited Edition" that stirs the crow in me and "ooh! shiny" leaps to mind and I hit that purchase button.

Hopefully in the years to come, I can outgrow that impulse but....I may be incurable....🥰

8 years for blurays ... but prior to that from 97 it was dvds.... then prior to that VHS.....so in all probably been collecting movies in one format or another for this ver 35 years ...

My EB "Boys N The Hood" arrived today and I am so glad I got this as opposed to that ridiculous Steelbook art.

I'm quite impressed by all my EB releases in fact.

I picked up the Arrow Spec Ed. of Nightbreed a while back but I'm so jelly of your signed copy, kudos! 🥰

That is nice artwork on the Arrow Candyman Steel but I already bought the Arrow Spec Ed. and had 2 other copies of the flik, I'm good, heh.

I haven't pulled the Trigger on a copy of Midway yet. As you can tell, I'm more a Spec Ed person than hard on Steel person, (um, did that read right?) so was waiting to see if any Premiums had it in mind. I won't wait much longer though.

Really nice Mondo for "A Quiet Place"! 🤩

Again, I have a few copies from other releases and Mondo is sort of a "collect 'em all!" line, so I shy away except for a few or I fear I would end up tracking them ALL down, heh.

The remainder are lovely as well.
