A year or so ago I would have said yes, but I spent so much time with keeping up with movie news & such that it eventually began to lower my excitement for releases because the element of surprise was gone. Back when I was a kid & teen I didn’t have any idea of the behind the scenes work of movies & such.
 

You where surprised with new trailers if you went to the theaters. I had no idea of what was coming out then. There is no way for me to completely return to being clueless, but I can shelter myself a little bit from some news that way I still have some surprises when I’m watching movies and television for the first time.

I actually never... And I mean neverevernevernver watch trailers...

When I go to the movie theater I have to close my eyes and ears so I don’t see nor hear anything... Haha...

 

But I feel this moment so different now... This is like the most exciting time for DC Fans (I’m more a DC fan than Marvel, at least in comics). 
 

We will get the Snyder Cut next year... WW84 is around the corner... The Flash is getting a lot of news and a lot of current and past actors that it seems to be not even possible... The Rock just released a picture of him like Black Adam yesterday... And I Pray to God that we get dome news about a Green Lantern movie!!! Please!!! Pleaseeee!!!... 

 

Im just so excited because it’s the most exciting time to be a DC Fan no doubt...

@Hollywood E Rock it honestly makes me wish more studios would make false trailers like they did with Endgame. It gave you an idea of what the movie was about, but didn’t give it away. Also wish they would stick to just doing Teaser Trailers, and not do 3-4 of them. The more I see, the less excited I am.

Yeah these days I don’t usually watch trailers until after I done already seen the film. There are exceptions, sometimes I will watch a 30sec teaser before the longer trailer is released, but most times I’m like you, ears covered eyes closed. My girlfriend who can’t help herself always watches the trailers then she fusses about how the trailer gave away the whole movie 😂🤣😂

I also agree it’s a great time to be a DC fan, (I love both brands, but I’ve always been more of a DC guy) but for me personally Warner Brothers have let me down to much for me to get overly excited at this moment. I’m very much looking forward to what’s to come but on a scale of one to ten, I’m at a seven when usually I’m at a 

 

 

Warner Brothers is getting my support either way but they have a special act for making it difficult to be a fan 😂

I’m in full support of false trailers as long as the finished product is better than the misdirect. I don’t want to be hyped & then watch the film & be like

 

 

Trailers should definitely be at least shortened & like you said we don’t need 4 & 5 of them.

@Hollywood E Rock Agreed. I think that Warner Bros. should be putting more trust into his directors/writers/storytellers and taking greater care into setting up its characters, stories and arcs and slowly build that up to creating a greater universe.

 

You look at what Nolan managed to create under WB with The Dark Knight trilogy and how much of a focused, singular vision that was that never really compromised quality or rushed into setting up a greater universe at the expense of its own characters/stories. It took Marvel over ten years to establish its own universe and I think it really paid off for them.

 

I think now, with films like Aquaman, Wonder Woman, as well as the Snyder Cut of Justice League on the way, hopefully WB can get back to putting more trust in its directors and writers and taking its time to tell quality stories that really engage and resonate with audiences rather than trying to compete with other cinematic universes.
