Unfortunately, I can't tell you either. But it's not a US problem, they stopped shipping to other European countries a few months ago. For some more expensive exclusive editions they make an exception (like Leon or 5th Element...).

Nachdem ich jetzt Glück hatte in den letzten Wochen mit meinen Steelbook-Lieferungen (auch das Black Phone Turbine Steel kam ordentlich verpackt und ohne Dellen an), war die letzte amazon-Sendung leider nicht so doll. Scream 3, Evil Dead Rise, Smile, GotG 3… alle mit Dellen. Nur Halloween H20 war ok, vermutlich weil da noch dieser Plastik-Slip drum ist, der das schützt. Ich bin mir aber auch gar nicht sicher, ob das wirklich immer nur am Versand liegt oder der Hersteller nicht immer sauber arbeitet. Beim GotG Steel zum Beispiel lag es definitiv nicht am Versand, da war irgendein harter Kleberrest oder was auch immer vorne mit eingestanzt worden, wie auch immer das passieren kann.

 

Na ja, gehen alle zurück. Behalte das UK-Steel von Evil Dead Rise und die anderen bestelle ich mir bei media-dealer, die verpacken immer gut bisher. Nils @extantsrevenge, bei dir war das dann echt Pech…😔

Ja, definitiv ein dummer Zufall bei meiner Lieferung. Der Kundenservice von Media-Dealer ist wirklich schnell. Ich musste die Sendung dann bei der Post mit Schadensmeldung abgeben und am Montag geht meine Ersatzlieferung raus.

 

Da musst du ja jetzt leider etwas mehr Bezahlen, Media-Dealer hatte bei ein paar Steelbooks die Preise angehoben, aber wenigstens bekommst du Scream 3 da noch, bei amazon war es dann Sold Out.

apropos scream 3. Durfte ich auch in Empfang nehmen und ist die Enttäuschung schlecht hin! Warum um Himmels Willen rot? Artwork it schon mies, da hätte ich in schwarz, damit es einheitlich ist, hinweggesehen. Und die Krönung, die anderen waren alle schick mit spot Lack. Hier nicht… warum? Missed opportunity

Das hört sich ja gut an bei dir! 👍 Ja, ich muss dann etwas mehr bezahlen, aber das ist ok., wenn die Steels dafür in Ordnung sind. Das blöde ist immer, wie du schon schreibst, wenn irgendein Steel bei amazon sold out ist (und das ist ja fast schon der Regelfall) und du es dann woanders besorgen musst. Aber ich gönne es media-dealer, ich denke die sind kein großer Laden und dann bekommen die so auch etwas Unterstützung.

Ja, da hast du Recht. Ich nehme es auch nur, um die Reihe vollständig zu haben. Aber das verstehe ich bei so einigen Steels nicht, warum man nicht bei einem Mehrteiler im gleichen Artwork-Stil bleibt… wer weiß, vielleicht macht man das extra, weil später noch eine Gesamtbox rauskommt wie bei Matrix, Mad Max, Jurassic Park/World, die auch verkauft werden will. 😉

right officially there has never been a response from zavvi directly to anyone or any forum.

but there where two guess/rumours that went around.

 

1. they where threatened by studios as they where selling out of the studios regions and by selling like this it would have gone to court.

so they stopped overnight more or less.

 

2. when brexit went down the UK government add decided to tax on all exports and all countrys had to pay a tax on top BEFORE or it could not leave.

i know with the tax situation alot of clothes company here stopped selling to europe again as they said it was too much paperwork and there would have been no profit in it for them as was low value items the costs administration would wiped out any profit.

most european companies stopped dealing with uk companies because of the uk government with it.(added paperwork had to be done by europe COST)

completely backfired on the uk government as paying tax upfront bunch of idiots they did NOT need to add the tax and paperwork!

money grabbing twits🙄

 

so in answer i believe is one of those and i dont think zavvi will ever sell again like they did.

 

the only way you properly get around it would be a uk contact to buy for you and ship on but again that would be a huge costs shipping wise.

plus you would have to find someone to do it, plus you still may caught customs wise.

just remember you can NOT ask any member here on mp due to mps rules of buying/selling!

if you did you would get banned as john does not allow any buying and selling between members, i presume for mp its a legal problem if some thing went wrong, but all i can say it is allowed on the 2 other forums with NO issue that i know of and there trading has increased from what i seen👍

 

I know alot of people are not happy with the buying selling rule here and think its completely over the top.

the silly thing was there used to be zavvi gb thread here like you have best buy, yet that was simply stopped i know not why but i presume it was too much hassle originally done by @Scary Hair she stepped down as uk hub then @blu.steel33 took over and later and it was stopped. 

i can only conclude it was a decision made at the top. 

but does seem a silly decision to cut everyone out where would have helped alot of MPs members out.

but the rules is the rules as it stands, whether john will think on it again is another question, i suppose if others go more on other forums to trade more there is a danger members may leave?

the whole purpose of mp originally was to be a friendly site which it is and be better than the rest.

 

anyway i hope this post has tried an answer your questions somewhat 👍

Das ist wohl wahr. Meines kam vorgestern - Enttäuschung pur - gerade, wenn man bedenkt, dass das (bei mir) 35 Euro warn - Wahnsinn.

Das School Of Rock habe ich nicht einmal aufgemacht, nachdem ich durch die OVP den Billigprint gesehen habe - 30 Euro für - und das ist ja nur BD.

Nee, ist zwar schadensfrei, bleibt aber eingepackt und geht postwendend wieder zurück. Disc-Repack mit 2 Euro-Blechdose.

Kein Bock mehr auf diese Politik.
