Genuine french/german question here now do you prize your French editions or you look at them spit on them, then realise you paid good money for them clean off the spit give them clean and wipe over but they go on the bottom corner of the french section and have a good cry still🤣🤣🤣

 

And to our champion collector @Cornbuster holger what about your thoughts on french steels

From what I have seen.

 

Ze Germans want nothing to do with French titles and Les French want nothing to do with German titles.

 

Solution? Use English titles for everything. 😁

Normally I would not buy French Editions 🤣. Only in very rare cases, like this one for example. This is a French Movie so I don't mind the French title and it was also the first Steelbook available, so I had to get it.

 

But for example I don't ike French or Italian J-Cards on my US movies, that is why I only rarely get an Italian Edition, even when I could save a lot of money buying these.

 

And I actually can't stand things like "un film de" on Steelbooks, I mostly skip such releases, even when they are exclusive to France. Recently made an exception for the excellent Drive Steelbook.

 

But I skipped all the French Ghibli Futurepaks, as I absolutely can't tolerate the French titles on them, or the Italian Ghibli Steelbooks with Italian titles. I would have loved to get them, but not like this.
