My 4K collection

4k Collection Update: Currently at 864 with 33 more ordered. Settled into my new home, and put together these 4 sided towers. Got everything on there with room to spare for about another 100 or so purchases. The towers aren't leaning, it's just the camera angle.

Collection Update: Currently at 954 4K's with another 21 ordered. 

These photos were taken about a month ago, and I've currently ran out of room again as I have much more than what's shown here. Going to have to buy another spinner rack.

Update: Currently at 973 with 28 more ordered. Got new bookcases as one of my spinner racks was broken while I was moving.

Very nice.  Your tidiness pleases my OCD.  Are they organized by genre, alphabetical, etc?  

 

Now all you need is a 4k player and you’ll be good to go.

Thanks man! Yes, they are organized: 1. MCU Steelbooks, 2. Regular Steelbooks, 3. Disney/Pixar Steelbooks, 4. MCU & Disney/Pixar non steels, 5. Regular Amaray, digibooks etc., 6. Anime, 7. TV shows, 8. Arrow/Studio Canal, 9. Kino Lorber, 10. Criterion, 11. 4k Kult, 12. Vinegar Syndrome/Miscellaneous foreign 4k releases, 13. Premiums 

 

Oh, and I already have the best 4k player, a Oppo 203. Still working great after all these years!

No, I got these from a place called Nebraska Furniture Mart in Kansas. Imagine if Ashley Furniture, Bass Pro, and Best Buy had a baby, and that baby was the size of all three stores combined. That's what this is.

Thanks! In the case of movies I've seen, I only buy what I like. In the case of movies I have not seen, I will buy it if it interests me and/or I've heard or seen good things about it. If I bought every 4k I could get, or afford, I would have around 1,500.

I know several collectors whose 4k collections dwarf mine, including one employee of Best Buy (he's a member of one of the websites that shall not be named) that has every release that Best Buy has carried in store.

I didn't know 1500 4K discs even existed. If I had to guess I would say I probably have 700 or so. That's just a guess though I could be way off in either direction.

If I had to guess there is probably 1800-2000 releases world wide.

The three that I listed as my favorite 4K's are my three favorite for PQ as well.

4K Collection Update: Currently at 1043, with another 20 more ordered. Hopefully, after three months of waiting, my extra shelves that I ordered to fit my bookcases will arrive in the next few weeks. I ordered 6 shelves, and should be able to fit 3 minimum, but hopefully all 6.

Update: Currently at 1,052 4K's with another 25 ordered. 

After three months of waiting for my extra shelves order, Nebraska Furniture Mart canceled my order. They refunded my $180 plus gave me a $200 store credit for stringing me along for three months. I could have bought another bookcase but they said they would be able to obtain the shelves for me, no problem. Now the bookcase was discontinued. 

Thankfully I discovered that Ikea had very similar shelves, part of their Billy Bookcase editions. So I bought six, at about $75, and bought 40 shelf pegs from Amazon for $8(the ones that came with the shelves did not fit the bookcase). I could only fit one extra shelf in each case without making them too tight, but I like how it came out!
