Given the money they have thrown at Rings Of Power and the quality so far, I'm optimistic about this one!  Starting fifty years after 2049 is a good idea too, freeing them from casting issues and any lingering Deckard problems, lol.

I'm certainly optimistic, but I wouldn't expect Amazon to put quite that much money toward Blade Runner as they did LOTR. 🤣 Should still look good, though, and I hope they treat it like the premium series it deserves to be.

Oh yeah, LOTR is not the benchmark I expect Amazon to use for other series - even premium marquee ones, but to do BR right, it will still require a hefty budget and I'm hoping Amazon is there for it.

I hope so, too. Maybe Bezo can hold off on building himself another rocket ship for a while and make sure this gets to be a high quality, cinematic series that can live for more than one season.
