here is a basil service announcement last chance 👍

ONLY AT BLUFANS THE LEGO MOVIE 2

CLOSING SOON GET IN OR MISS OUT ITS THAT SIMPLE YOU HAVE NOW ALL BEEN WARNED

    Message from Dodgy dave below

I know this release is not high on most members "must have" list, but if you are thinking of joining please do so ASAP.

I have to get some figures to BF soon. So that means closing the GB.

As things are still not 100% back to normal with the Chinese shipping, we will not be invoicing this immediately.

Keep the money in your pocket a little longer. ;)

We will post in this topic when invoicing is likely to be.

  3. morning all well that staying up late and getting up early took its toll on me xD

last night i started falling asleep at 8.30 watching telly and the head kept going.

so bit the bullet me and the missus went to sleep at 8.30pm and when the alarm went off this morning at 5.50am both of us hit the ceiling.

i wanted to go back to sleep could have easily done with another hour but no she kicked my arse verbally to get put of bed and it took some real effort i can tell you xD

she saying come on it friday last one at the time that didn't make it better xD

anyway have now done the family food shopping and its all stocked back up again, had some jammy crumpets and fruit juice. starting to feel human and slowly getting that friday feeling she was on about. so its not all bad :D

  5. morning all, here we are all again for another day in paradise, if was stuck on a nice sunny holiday they might say this be a bit more tolerable.

you know where you get up lazily, when you have breakfast by the pool with some fresh orange juice days about to start nice weather is sun and low 20s at 8am and you know gonna be sun all day round 28-32  and a fully inclusive bar etc without a massive queue and the day is yours to do with your partner as you see fit.

who fancies some of that? :D

    Hello everyone!

Gonna jump straight into it, saw my first Steelbook in 2014 which was Sucker Punch. Boy did I like it, 8 years later I've got over 150 Steelbooks on my shelves and it ain't stopping!

Recently got into premiums, specifically Full Slips. Have a couple marvel ones on the way. Covid-19 has been no help to my uncontrollable Steelbook purchasing. I still have my job thankfully but now I'm home all the time so I just shop shop shop!

I stopped collecting for about 3 years but now I'm back at it, joined about 20 Facebook groups and found Media Psychos. Finding out all about Premiums and Group Buys (never heard of it until about 20 minutes ago).

Glad to be here and look forward to collecting alongside some fellow enthusiasts! Photos of my collection attached.

How much is your whole collection of steelbooks worth if you was to sell it all today and was it all worth it :)

Also What is your most prized edition for you personally in your collection and what is actually worth the most.

ohhhh what a question, very hard for me to fully answer but ill give it my best try. firstly i gave around 50 steels old zavvi ones away to father in law as i needed shelf space and was too damn lazy to do the ebay thing they where around £20 a pop so new price paid for them been about a £1000 i spent on them so say they be a £10 each second hand so theres £500, just in the ones i gave away xD

then on the shelves got about another 300 steels, then prob about 60-80 premiums. and my premiums are double lentis most of them roughly £60 a pop off top of my head.

the overall maths you can do from line above but i dread to think what i have spent, every penny worthy while but i dont want to think about overall cost. i just enjoy having them.

well now we get onto most prized that itself is a very varied question, which most steel collectors will know as you can have the unicorn you trying to find or you can have the most valuable and that can be of the time when you have bought it as prices can go up more or even drop over time.

even a sleeper steel that everyone left alone on pre-order then comes out and they see in hand and everyone wants it (rush being one example, everyone at the time then went berserk for it and prices then went thru the roof for a long while)

right so for me my most unicorn steel at the time i was desperate to own was inglourious basterds canadian release with dogg taggs inside by futureshop.

the going rate for a sealed one was £150 at the time. i managed to get a mint open one for £75, you can still get every now and again couldn't tell you prices currently.

right now the most valuable cost wise. i reckon is a set i paid £150 new which was only 50 of them made so ultra rare and prob increase in value over time.

was deathproof release in a leather and glass box but that puppy is staying in its carboard box and comes out on rare occasions.

now also as this is prob one of the best questions i have ever read i want you to tag ALL the staff on the whole board, with the exact same questions and i think you will see some very interesting answers, especially with like of nils and dave. if john answers this i think his sums may scare some xD

and im talking cars or houses if im not too far away :D

    anyway all the best
