WHAT WOULD YOU DO . . . .

I found an eBay seller who was legit.

All steels 50%.

Black Friday deal 10% off of that.

$10 off on orders over $100.

With free shipping.

So, I started buying in batches of $100

The next day, I had buyers remorse.  I only really wanted about 1/3 of the titles.  The sale and the $100 challenge weakened me.

I emailed, canceled many of these orders.  They do it. Refund given, it shows up as cleared and cancelled.

This morning I get shipping notice for ALL the orders, even the ones I cancelled.

Easy answer - email them, let them know about the mistake, return the one's I cancelled . . . and that's what I did.

But, curious if anyone has had something like this happen.  Any interesting twists or turns?  Any freebie stories worth sharing?

Oh wow, you an Indiana guy too?  I was born there but we moved when I was too young to remember.   

Still go to visit a bunch though, love August in Indiana.  Amazing out there, love driving through those fields.

@hal56  is also correct, companies do pay for true responses from customers. And also it feels like at times members are chastised for having a opinion, I can point out more than a handful of staff and seasoned members who criticized art choices and they aren’t made to feel that they’re input is negative. 
 

Those who express these opinions are trying to effect change for the future.

if everyone just keeps saying OMG I love it and can’t wait to have it in hand, we are going to wind up with more plastic cats, puzzle pieces, paperweights and coins.

I think your ambiguity about collecting these is justified, to be honest.  The Mondo Marvel steels are an inconsistent bunch imho.  They are very "Mondo" of course, but the execution isn't always so great.   I'm thankful for them because they are so much better than most WWA multi-retailer Marvel steels.  It is a nice little set, but not perfect.

I still say, buy, buy, buy.

All are German but Thor: Dark World, which is French.  

(Dark World was apparently changed to Dark Kingdom for the German release because Dark World was a movie that had some copyright issues in Germany.  I had two sources on this, but someone correct me if this is wrong and you are confident in your source.  There was also some speculation that Dark World has some Third Reich connotations.)

Thanks @Reagh and @Gary K for bringing this one to my attention.

Got super lucky, one day it just appeared on my ebay saved searches, and snagged it.

I didn't photograph the spine, because it's so hard to capture, but the lenti on the spine and the depth is pretty amazing.  It makes me wish more releases had a spine lenti.

I think the thing that makes these front and back lentis so special, and so unusual, is that it is a sparse landscape, off in the distance.  So many lentis are character or object based, very close and more dramatic.  The depth this lenti creates is not 5-30 feet from you like many, it's 100-500 yards from you.  It's not dramatic in any striking visual way, it's subtly beautiful, it creates a mood and a tone, but doesn't depend on action.  I very much enjoy this one.

#38 out of 45 world wide.  (although there appear to be another 50 numbered 1-50 for China release only, or so I've read.  Someone in China also has #38 .)

Sounds like a fantastic dog with that combination of breeding.   So, I take it your lab is no longer around?  We are dreading the day when my girl is no longer with us.  I was not necessarily a dog person, then we got this beauty beasty and she is a 24/7 companion.  I've taken her on shoots all over the country, she's a great studio dog, clients and the talent always love her.  Good for my brand!  

I have become the kind of dog person I used to make fun of.
