I'm just hoping the ratings logo is removeable... this'll be my first Arrow release direct from the UK.
Most of the time they are removable. I've got several of these Arrow sets and they were all removable. Post some pics when you have in hand.

I am in for version 2 as well! This is one of my favorite movies.
Nice!
I just looked at the GB list so far, and a few more people are choosing version 1. Not sure why, version 2 has that iconic Hanks shot. Too iconic?

In this case, I'd rather @ksoskjust design something, and then we can decide to buy it. The idea of everyone here having a say in what gets done... I find that less inspiring, honestly. He's a good designer, and whatever he does for Star Wars is going to have at least a hundred people willing to buy it, so that's not an issue with this one. I don't trust the rest of you with design choices. 😜
I'd feel better blindly signing up for this if there would be an update for the Breakfast at Tiffany's slip that hasn't had any news for years.
I get what you're saying. Design by committee rarely works.
My understanding is that @ksosk is the art director/designer, and the community is giving input, not making design choices. I trust him to say, "all your ideas suck, I'm not doing any of them", if that's where it ends up.
I'm more interested in the possibility of us influencing title choices to be honest. Looking at you HDZeta.
If at the end of this process, it doesn't work, or is too difficult, and @ksosk decides he doesn't want our input and does it on his own with his team, that's fine too.
But that's not what he's asking for on this one. So, I'm willing to give a try and see what happens.

a film that is a great underrated gem that had the possibility to get a sequel or two (or even more - as it is based on the book series) is master and commander - the far side of the world. the low box office was probably the main reason why this one never had the sequel. now it would not make much sense as it has been almost 20 (!!!) years since its release, but in the mid 00's i really wanted to see another great story.
Yeah man, good call. I forgot about this one. What a fantastically crafted film. I can't imagine what a sequel would be, though. I don't want him to continue to chase the Acheron, that ending was perfect for me. But, I'd be in to another Jack Aubrey adventure of some sort, for sure. (the lesser of two weevils)

I understand those that don't want to blindly buy something that may not be to their liking, or want more info before jumping in. I get it.
However, Creator Era is a new venture, and it won't be perfect out of the gate, and won't please everyone. That's something I accept.
I see this as a process that we all can be a part of, giving constructive feedback to help craft a vision for CE releases. Hopefully we will end up with, not just 3 or 4, but dozens of beautiful editions of movies we have a say in choosing, in formats we have a say in creating. And with each release, the process and product will improve.
But that can't happen unless a bunch of members accept the compromises and jump in early with less than perfect, or incomplete, info.
I will definitely give my thoughts and preferences, and I'm sure everyone else will as well, as they should. But, I'm willing to support the CE team blindly for a few titles, like a private GoFundMe, to see how this shakes out. And I hope at least an additional 99 other members are too (judging by the Gladiator release, they are).

The only bathroom scene that has this feel, that I can think of, is the asian bath in You Only Live Twice. Pure guess.

I have a shag rug just like that in our bathroom. No joke.

CHALLENGE 11 : IT'S ALL HAPPENING AGAIN
1. Attack of the Clones - Lucas was very brave to make a comedy in the middle of his space opera. Man, I laughed and laughed.
2. Ironman 2 - "My bond is with the people, and I will serve this great nation at the pleasure of myself.
If there's one thing I've proven, you can count on me to pleasure myself" - Tony Stark
3. Godfather II - The origin story of the origin story intertwined with the result of the origin story.
4. Duel at Ichijoji Temple - The lonesome journey to become a real samurai is more interesting than a lost dude hanging from a tree.
5. HGs Catching Fire - The existential journey to become a heroine is more interesting than a circumstantial do or die.
Movie I wish had a sequel: Almost Famous - Let's see Jeff Bebe coming out of rehab and joining the Bee Gees.
btw @ethnosax, you can tell you're a writer by trade, your rules were fun reading. Where can I find other research by MediaPsy Co.?

STAR WARS : EPISODE IV : A NEW HOPE
Dear Psychos,
This is the targeted #002 title.
A New Hope has been mentioned frequently and there are two nice steels that I think many collectors own!
The advantage of choosing this title :
- the designer can draw an artwork for Episode IV - VI with a lower artist fee than 3 seperate projects so if the demand is there and we produce V and VI, it will help to reduce the cost
- Star Wars has a great potential for creating very beautiful illustrations
This is what will happen now.
As this is the actual first title under CE that members get involved from scratch, there will be no beautyshot before signing up.
- a GB will open for members to sign up. Once you do, you must definitely buy at least one copy (we will do only one edition)
- After that, you will be invited into a club where discussion of the style of art and references to existing artwork can be brought up.
- In the GB, we will also include the option to sign up for Episode V and VI (this will help me gauge if the trilogy project is possible)
- Since this will be truly customised, we will control the price of the edition (meaning anything that you want to add into the release that will push the cost up must be agreeable by the majority)
Hope this is something that a lot of you want!
We need 100 orders still.
LET'S GO!!!
Woohoo!
Very cool. This process sounds like a lot of fun. Thanks @ksosk for giving us this opportunity. A truly bespoke edition for the community here.
100 by the end of the day!
I’m in for all 3. I’ve seen your work-

Hello to all readers of my performance Since I am new to this forum, I would like to reveal a few things about myself, as announced. My name is Sascha, I live in Austria just outside of Vienna and I'm in my 30s. Movies have been my passion for a very long time and it started with “Nur 60 Seconds” aka “Gone in 60 Seconds”. I can still remember very well how much this film influenced me. 1) It was one of my first films that I saw alone (without parents/outside a school event) with friends in the cinema 2) The camera cut along with the music by Moby fascinated me from the first second 3) Nicolas Cage (one of my favorite actors) starring 4) Angelina Jolie 5) Really awesome cars Of course I didn't have that much money back then (I was 14) but I started buying/acquiring films shortly after... I probably don't need to mention that this film was the first to end up in my CD burner and was also one of my first sales 😉 Well, a lot has changed now and apart from one copy I only have original films in my collection (guess which film that one copy is). In terms of quality, we are now on a completely different level than the SVCDs of the time, and that is why I am now presenting “my” home cinema to you. Facilities: A good PC computer (5 years ago still high end, now only okay - for me it fits) Sony XR77 A80J OLED TV 11 speakers: 2x Dali Oberon 7, 4x Dali Oberon 3, 1x Dali Oberon Vokal plus 4x Dali Zensor 1 ceiling speakers 1 Subwoofer: SVS PB1000 The room itself is not particularly well insulated or anything like that, but since it is a manageable 20m2 with about 5.2x4 meters, I am very satisfied with it at the moment. Of course, I also ensured the right atmosphere - that's why we're on the road in this forum. Therefore, a few photos of the room in this topic will follow shortly. The quality is unfortunately not too good, I hope you forgive me. Of course you are welcome to ask questions - I will answer them as best as I can. Kind regards XstaticX
Welcome @XstaticX. I used to have a pair of the Dali Oberon 3s, they are fantastic speakers.
Everyone here is super friendly and helpful. Feel free to ask any questions you have, someone will chime in with an answer, or will point you in the right direction.

I am thinking that's The World Is Not Enough, when King's lapel pin explodes.
Man, I can't remember that at all. I remember the pin, but I forgot it exploded.
The only explosion I can think of like this pic was, I think, in Quantum of Solace, but that was a glass/metal building, this looks more like paper flying through the air, not glass.
I'm sure there were other explosions that come toward the camera like that. I can't think of any.
Tough one.
