This and That (Where Great Conversations Are Happening)
BreakBeatDJ replied to Masterblaster's topic in English
Yikes. It's not just for that title? Everything? I've had that happen before, but only on certain titles. I hope this isn't the case. Thanks @MikeH5856 -
Just updated my list, 36 titles in January. No way I am going to even begin to match that in any other month. Reality is going to set in.
-
Hey bud, nice list. A lot of horror in there. You binge the Mummy when you got the UHD trilogy? Looks like you might compete with @Veum! That's a lot of movies. Respect.
-
Yeah well said. My experience exactly. I did give credit to Novack for having the balls to do that though, as you said. Risky. If he would have shot his buddy John Mayer for that gratuitous opening cameo, that would have kicked it up a notch higher.
-
curious what you thought of the ending of Vengeance?
-
Very nice list. I thought maybe I could keep up with you. I think I'm going to be at about 20 movies in January, but I see I will trail by many many movies by the end of the year. Not that it's a competition, but, you're going to win.

nice work buddy. Geez that looks great. Looking forward to seeing what you’re tackling next. I know you worked hard at this. But it brings up what we all say . . . If @Cornrow can do it, why can’t Disney? Not trying to diminish your talent, work and achievement, bud. Just saying, get off your arse Mickey, look what can be done.

Hey, welcome bud. I'm sure my man @Gary K has already connected with you, but wanted to also let you know you can PM me with questions as well. All of the mods or guardians will help you out if you need it. To keep up with what's going on, make sure you follow @Gary K. Just click on his name and go to his profile and click follow. Also, follow @Reagh @ShadowWarrior @extantsrevenge @deckard99 to start with. You won't miss any new editions dropping, or any payments, etc if you follow these stellar cats around the forum. My best advice for you right now . . . go join the BroadNation group buy for Edge of Tomorrow while it's still open. We just had our awards for best premiums from 2022, and Edge of Tomorrow dominated. It is a killer set and is what all premiums should aspire to. The one-click and the individual ones are still available for MP members only I believe. BroadNation Edge of Tomorrow Feel free to hit me up, if you need any help, or @Gary K, he's a smart dude. And yes, I tagged you in the John Wick thread, 3 is the best!

Yes. This, and just simply more story, more expanse, more production value, we get out of NYC, we see Halle, better dog action, and more Larry Fishburne and the Bowery Boys. I also love the old school 1950s department store "order" room. With out the Continental and its assassins country club code, all of these movies drop a dozen rungs for me. The director Chad Stahelski is a stunt guy, and he doesn't know how to tell a story or do character development, that's not his thing. So what we get in the first two is a really fun stunt show. By the time we get to the third one, there's more meat on the bones to go with the thrill ride. Stahelski is in pre-pro on some other movies, I'll be curious how his future movies compare. @GroundDigger

Wonderful story of your movie journey. Makes me realize how much I take for granted that movies have been a big part of my entire life, and that’s not the same for everyone. Thanks for sharing! The best “old” movie education, in terms of collecting, is the Criterion Collection imho. Their transfers are first rate, and the curation is fantastic. It’s a fun, and inexpensive, way to build a classic film library with high quality physical media. I have hundreds of DVDs/BluRays. I return to them often. I’m not sure how easy your access is.
