Also the back is just - let's say - ok.

 

But the front ...

(Unlike Steelbooks, a metal case's embossing options are less limited by design,

and this edition is one of those few future packs that are exceptionally crafted).

It is an Edition of the retailer

 

 

that was realized by crowd funding and contains the stylized horror masterpiece SUSPIRIA (1977) from Dario Argento.

The Metal Case was crafted by INDIEGOGO to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the movie.

Only 950 units of this Beauty were made.

 

Excuse me for presenting the front from different angles -

but this is the only way that the various reflections of the surface can be presented adequately...

Depends if you’re into 70s supernatural Italian horror movies or not … bit dated now by todays standards obviously but RT gives it 93% …

You won’t like it Veum, but it’s an all time classic of Italian 70s horror from one of the masters of the Giallo, Dario Argento.

Not throughout no.  It is extremely stylized and a gorgeous film from a cinematography standpoint.  The score by Goblin is also one of the all time best.  Super creepy and progressive.

Well buddy - In addition to what @ukade2327 and @Gary K commented -fundamentally it can be stated, that the movie is theatrical and highly stylized (and uses a rich color palette - therefore I highly recommend to watch it in 4K UHD - especially as both the picture and newly mixed Dolby Atmos track  on that disc provide an overall satisfying presentation).

 

Despite the Gore scenes it is a legendary peace of cinematic art that stands for itself and nearly invented a complete Genre.

 

As pointed out before, the score is very intense and the main theme, which conveys a sense of secrecy, accompanies the viewer through atmospheric scenes that, apart from the giallo effects, create a constant intellectual discomfort that only dissolves in the final sequence.

 

To conclude, you could get something out of the film - and in view of the fact that this is probably one of the first films to play with "girl power" - because there are many strong women - it could, in this respect, even be suitable for a (little horrifying) TV evening with your wife... 😎

 

As for the great actress Joan Benett, nothing needs to be added. She was a real artist who was not appreciated by the legendary director Fritz Lang for nothing.

It was included. Was purchased in a GB. Didn't have to pay extra for it.

It's just good. The quality is not bad, but it lacks impact compared to the manta's lenti released recently(matrix DL).

Finally I got my Ant-Man and the Wasp Filmarena Hardboxes. Not sure if I open the second one to see the singles, I haven't opened the last few Hardboxes (not so excited about them at the moment). Still waiting for my Backdraft, ordered that together with WW84 🙄. Also got the German Belle 4K SB, looks nice.
