According to this article Bond is still the same character played by Craig (probably for the last time) but apparently he decidesย to retire and therefore his 00 number is passed onย to his successorย who happens to beย a black female agent.

As much as Hollywood is in dire need of novel ideas, to meย this seems like a forcedย attempt to please both Bond purists and those who call for a more radical approach.

I would much rather they end Bondโ€™s saga by retiring/killing him on his final mission than come out with someย lame excuse for starting a new franchise with a Black woman, just because โ€˜it feels rightโ€™ (to me it doesnโ€™t).

And if they finally decide to stick withย making Bond films, they should heed the words of Yaphetย Kotto (the first and so far only black main Bond villain) who said thatย Bond should ALWAYSย be played by a white British actor.
