Although I do like parts of his Lords of Salem…

A local DJ plays a cursed record and unwittingly unleashes a coven of 300-year old witches who were secretly imprisoned and tortured during the Salem Witch Trials.
 

I also enjoy the droned eerie music he had 😳

My favourite Zombie movie is The Devils Rejects. Its violent, bloody, nasty, politically incorrect, has a 70s vibe, black humor and the soundtrack is a killer

 

Anyway, I was particularly interested in how you liked his Halloween movies. For me: I like how, stark, visceral and brutal they are but I think casting a giant as Michael was

wrong. Carpenter always saw Michal  as a personification of everyday evil that gets to you. A giant is quite the opposite of that.....

Helmut @hal56 believe it or not my fav “horror, scary, spooky, etc.” films 🎥 are more bent toward Ol’ school, subtle, gothic atmospheric, classy for example:

 

Universal Classic Monsters

Hammer Horror

Any Vincent Price, Boris Karloff, Bela Lugosi, Lon Chaney Jr., Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing, Peter Lorre, etc.

 

Especially Hammer Glamour Ladies 😘
