I like the artwork, but I also agree that it's to colorful. It doesn't completely capture the tone of the film, but it's more interesting than recent plain boring artwork  steelbooks we've been getting.

It's an interesting design.

 

But, it reminds me more of some low-budget Italian remake of T2 than the movie itself.

I just realised this year marks the 30th Anniversary of T2.

I hope they will do the Special Edition in 4K, it was very lame that they only included the theatrical version in 4K last time.

I hope so.

 

The Director's Cut has been my preferred version of the film. I was disappointed that it wasn't remastered in 4K along with the theatrical version.

 

Studio Canal released this back in May:
