I'm not optimistic at all about this. Roth and Willis have been pretty bad lately IMO. And the original is Classic !

Charles Bronson is Iconic in this movie series the original iIS a classic the rest are just so - so......IMO .......this might turn out to be quite good .........not seen Elizabeth Shue In a movie for ages......isn't she doing CSI ....ATM......

I prefer to watch a film and make up my own mind about and  it rather than take notice of a review I just use them as a guide ........if I had ....I'd have missed a lot of descent movies ....and thanks to this forum I'm getting quite a list of recommendations.........

I don't choose movies based on reviews either. Just tend to deciside on my own weather movie is good or bad without seeing it.  Yep. lol.

Roth can be a hit or miss, and have to agree recently more miss! Bruce, nah should have gone with someone s little younger and less known

I prefer Eli Roth as an Actor to a Director .

Bruce Willis on form can be AMAZING as in Twelve Monkeys and 6th Sence  .

Such a big iconic move also it had way to meny sequel's as well ?.

He made Hostel 1 and 2 which I LOVE both and hasn't done anything good since. Liked him in IB's and loved him in Piranha 3D

I couldn't watch Hostal it was way off for me no way did that amout of sadistic gore warrent such a thin plot .

DEFINITELY never watch the August Underground trilogy then! As they have no plot, they are made as if they are the home movies of a sadistic serial killer and are pretty much classed as the sickest footage ever made "in fictional terms" They are fake snuff movies, they even made me squirm and I'm pretty unshockable! They make the Centipede series or A Serbian Movie look like episodes of the Tellytubbies lol! No plot just scene after scene of absolute brutality, rape, murder and gore lol

Willis does seem an odd choice, he's no longer the star he used to be in terms of putting bums on seats which many recent films bypassing the cinema completely, and Roth has had the same fate with his director efforts skipping the cinema

I still like the original death wish series especially the first two. A hard hitting reality check for late 70s and early 80s America . Will have to see how this pans out
