Introducion Hello from the Little Canadian Spending Too Much on Steelbooks

Hello everyone!

 

Gonna jump straight into it, saw my first Steelbook in 2014 which was Sucker Punch. Boy did I like it, 8 years later I've got over 150 Steelbooks on my shelves and it ain't stopping!

 

Recently got into premiums, specifically Full Slips. Have a couple marvel ones on the way. Covid-19 has been no help to my uncontrollable Steelbook purchasing. I still have my job thankfully but now I'm home all the time so I just shop shop shop!

 

I stopped collecting for about 3 years but now I'm back at it, joined about 20 Facebook groups and found Media Psychos. Finding out all about Premiums and Group Buys (never heard of it until about 20 minutes ago).

 

Glad to be here and look forward to collecting alongside some fellow enthusiasts! Photos of my collection attached.

Yeah, I hear you, I’m a collector too that started w/Best Buy/Target exclusives that really got me into the Premium editions (I started way back though  & gradually upgraded from VHS to DVD to BD to 4K oh my 🤣). then I was fortunate to find out about this terrific forum MP from another forum I followed & MP took over my #1 place since March ‘19 hey 👋 

 

 

I’m who is referred to as the “consigliere” on MP as I enjoy communicating with all the peeps and the Ol’ American guy lol!😄

 

  

 

Hold fast to your wallet as your money will be spent quite a lot lol!😜

 

 

If you ever need any help just tag a Head Psycho, Staff or one of us Guardians like this @Veum (make sure you use the @ plus the members name you want and make sure you use the @ w/the BLUE as it gets our attention!). 😁

welcome james you sound exactly my sought of collector a steelbook collector, also you done same as me falling down the magic rabbit hole that is premiums  

and once you do there is no coming back it only gets worse, hopefully we will get your full attention now and you'll just be poor like the rest of us on here.

Welcome to Media Psychos my friend.

 

You'll find a great variety of topics to discover throughout your time here and assuredly, a number of collectors with the same passion and interest you have developed, in collecting our precious films in the best possible packaging available.

With that said, there are a number of guidelines our esteemed staff have developed to assist you in your efforts, so it is assuredly worth your time to review them.

I'd like to start off with one suggestion.

You have some incredible Steels buddy, so you should be aware that there are number of protective slips and cases available to protect those precious items.

Have a look in our "Store" and yes, there are guides for which ones fit which editions.

 

Please don't be shy and ask a LOT of questions. You'll be glad you did!
