On any given day, any of these might be in my five favorites.

 

 

1. Vertigo, Bernard Herrmann. Why not start with the greatest? The Hitchcock/Herrmann partnership was so, so good. For me, Vertigo is the pinnacle. Herrmann's music perfectly matches the dream-like tone of the film, and it's just really great music all on its own.

 

 

2. Three Colors, Zbigniew Preisner. The Kieslowski/Preisner partnership is another one of the all-time greats. They did a lot of excellent work together, and the Three Colors trilogy is a masterpiece.

 

 

3. Blade Runner 2049, Hans Zimmer and Benjamin Wallfisch. I love everything Blade Runner, though it took me a couple of viewings and listenings to really get into the sequel. Nothing quite tops the original film and score, but I love what Zimmer and Wallfisch have done here. There are moments of overwhelming power and grandeur in their music.

 

 

4. Rogue One, Michael Giacchino. Star Wars music has been a part of my life for almost all my years. John Williams was probably my biggest musical inspiration through my teenage years. With very limited time to work, Giacchino created some beautiful themes for Rogue One, which was, in my opinion, the best that Star Wars had ever been...until Andor (which also has an amazing soundtrack).

 

 

5. Kubo and the Two Strings, Dario Marianelli. I don't know much of Marianelli's other work, but what he created for Kubo is beautiful, epic, heartbreaking. And Regina Spektor's cover of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" totally rocks.

 

 

6. Tenet, Ludwig Göransson. Yes, I'm the only person who firmly believes Tenet is one of the great films of the century so far. I can handle that. Göransson's score is fantastic, especially when you learn some of the details he put into it, to match the plot of the film. I have listened to this soundtrack more than any other in the past few years.

Next up is the much anticipated release of Batman Begins from Blufans.  I’m beyond grateful to @Masterblaster and @DodgyDave for making sure I was able to get a copy of the one click.

 

Now we have a few from my personal grail list that I was finally able to secure at slightly less than insane prices via a private collectors who was selling most of his collection.  First is the absolutely stunning and unique one click of Fight Club from Manta Labs.  

 

From that same collector another David Fincher masterpiece - the One Click of Se7en from Manta Labs

 

A third much sought after One Click from Manta Labs - Drive with the one of a kind “jacket” outer casing.

 

Finally for today, since it seems unlikely that HDZeta will produce and release a Gold Label edition of Hobbit to go alongside the upcoming LOTR, I found an affordable (relatively) copy of the Silver Label Edition.

 

I also have a bunch of boutique and steelbook releases I’ve received the past week or so to photograph and throw up soon.  Stay tuned…

Okay, so this haul is almost identical to what is on my search list top 5.  That Fight Club, has to be a grail for a lot of people.  It's crazy cool

Congrats on all of these.  Very cool.   These editions level up a collection, no doubt.

@ShadowWarrior has anyone done a premium of Cloverfield that you know of?

Watched Batman Begins again last night.  With all the BluFans Nolan trilogy activity, thought we'd revisit this classic.

As has been noted other places, it's hard not to think of what may have been in Westeros had Batman not saved Joffrey.

I guess it wasn't Cersei and Jamie's incest that scrambled Joffrey's DNA, creating that psychopath.   It was Dr. Crane's fear toxin that did it.

Based on this I don't think you can order something from there while in US.  I believe there is an area where you can request miscellaneous groupbuy items on the Media Psychos website under group buys, so would check there, and I am sure the mods could answer even better, so consider tag one of them.

Nope, they don't ship internationally, thus my question on forwarding services.  I have used these services for other things from other countries, but was curious if anyone has one they use specifically for blurays from UK to US.  I've looked through MP GB section and haven't seen anything that specifically relates to WarnerBros UK.  I'll reach out to someone who may have info on the MP UK hub.

I've got to give ShoutFactory a look.  I think of them as the vintage TV shows on DVD company.  I bet almost all my TV collections, old ones, are from Shout Factory from 15 years ago
