I've been asked a few times how many movies I buy.
The truth comes down to how many Premiums I am paying for in that month. This month for instance I paid/bought roughly 12 One Clicks so far and yesterday I preordered and paid for another 7 straight from manufacturer. Some of those are Ebay purchases so my blu-ray budget is a little low this month.
So far this month this is what I've bought not including Premiums.
This doesn't include any special steelbook or blu-rays in the Statue or Figurine boxes that I just started spending more money on.
By the end of the month I'll have roughly triple this. Some months it's well over 200.
Most of the movies I buy I have already seen or are part of an artist collection I am accruing. If you think "wow he buys a lot of crap" you are probably right. But if it's funny, corny, cheesy and I enjoy it it's mine.
TV Shows are mostly comedy but I also love my Soprano's and Breaking Bad sets.
I am just over 1300 actual hard copy movies now. Not including any doubles in both DVD/Blu-ray/Premium formats.
1100+ Blu-Ray's
200+ DVD's
0 downloads except for a couple seasons of According to Jim because they were never produced.
P.S. If you don't like cheesy Christmas movies you have no soul.

? I only hope you also have time to watch all that stuff, I know I don't, but I buy not that much ?

I've seen everything but about 200-300 of them. A lot that I haven't seen yet are the Charlie Chaplin Short Stories and movies, The Herschell Gordon Feast set, Lord of The Rings series, Harry Potter Series, Lord of the Rings.
That's about 100 right there.
I won't watch movies for a week and then one weekend I sit around and watch a dozen of them.

80% of the movies I buy I have already seen at one time or the other. They all go into my library and my Qnap 1:1.
40tb's worth right now and I just expanded from 25tb to 60tb in January.

@Kingpin See I have a Synology and I love it for some things, but I had to keep upgrading the hard drives as I would fill them up. It's really a more cost effective solution for me to just back up my rare/OOP stuff and redeem the digitals as backups for everything else. The streaming comes nowhere near the quality of physical media, of course, but if I just want to throw something on late at night it's the path of least resistance.

I hear ya. My situation is a bit different. I'm out in the country so my internet while steady is nowhere near fast enough to download large files.
Plus I backup at 1:1 so each BR is 20-40gb's on it's own and that's without any extras.
I stream to 6 Smart TV's in my house and I'm the only one who lives here. But if it's serious watching with the theater system then I throw the disk in the OPPO and go to town so I don't have to worry about stupid streaming problems that arise with PLEX.

@45Caliber They tried the ole 20% discount and I wouldn't go for it.Me:ORDER # 701-9411669-3848245Dusk TIll Dawn Steelbook Bluray damaged and dented in multiple places. Was not wrapped or protected in the box I just received. Very poorly packaged. You are now connected to Vishal A. from Amazon.caVishal A.:Hello, my name is Vishal A.. I'm here to help you today.Me:Hello.Vishal A.:I am really sorry about that. Please give me a minute to check that.Me:I can send thi back today on my way to the post office and I'd like a replacement sent out please.Vishal A.:Thanks for waiting.Me:sureVishal A.:In this case, I will forward this issue to my packaging department. So that they will look into this and this will not happen again for you in future. It would be really helpful if you could visit http://www.amazon.ca/packaging to provide all the details. Our shipping department will be interested in knowing about this.Me:ok. I will do that again.Vishal A.:Also, in this case, I will help you with the free return label to return the item for a full refund. Will that be fine?Me:I'd like a replacement sent out asap please.Vishal A.:Usually, in these cases, we will send the replacement only. But, I can see that this item is sold by the third party seller in our website. We are unable to help you with the replacement for seller items. In this case, please return it for a full refund. In the meantime you can place a new order. Its also like a replacement only, Mike.Me:Even though it was fulfilled by AMazon warehouse?Vishal A.:Yes, Mike.Me:So can you give me a gift certificate so I can order it right away please.or creditVishal A.:I am sorry, I don't have an option to issue an advance refund from my end. If you prefer to keep the item, I will help you with the 20% refund from the item cost. Will that work?Me:No. It's garbage. It's a collectible. I have never had any issues with Amazon providing me with a credit right away before. Even on items that weren't Amazon.Vishal A.:In this case, as an exception I will help you with the full refund. There is no need to return the item. Will that be fine?Me:THank you I will take a gift certificate or credit to my account. But please send me a return slip for this one. I would like to send it back.Vishal A.:Sure, just a moment.

Haha. "Our shipping department will be interested in knowing about this." I always get this crap. Ummm, the 50 times you told me you would advise the shipping department hasn't helped any. Congrats on the win though. I used to be able to get issues resolved, but now I just go around in endless circles with them, getting nowhere. Too bad their CS doesn't have a social media presence like Zavvi. Tweeting CS issues to Zavvi works wonders.

Reason I posted this is cause it's the first time I've had the "20%" thing thrown at me. I know you've mentioned it so I thought it was interesting.
Can you imagine Amazon having a twitter. LOL If you go on FB and check out Purolator or Canada Post even though they don't allow you to post messages every time they post they get bombarded with people having problems. Amazon would shut down the internet.

Somehow I have still not seen this movie, any good?
-
I have no idea. I haven't got to it yet. It's supposed to be artsy type of movie in the way it was filmed.
-
It's a very strange movie. I can't say I especially enjoyed it, but I found it compelling.

@45Caliber you jinxed me with Amazon.
My return for Tales of the crypt: Bordello of Blood did not go smooth at all.
I received my replacement today but was sent Demon Night which I already have.
Dude on chat told me 3 times that I had to send this one back and wait for a credit and then to purchase the product again. I mentioned I think this is improper as I did not make a mistake as they sent the wrong one. I even referenced my previous chat transcript.
I had to call in and get them to credit me immediately which they did and received another return label to send this one back.
I am blaming it all on you.

Just came back form the Dentist. She is gorgeous and the best dentist I ever had.
Now I'm sitting here with half a frozen face and I'm starving.
I wonder if I can eat some right now.

Really? I watched it and thought it was on-par with Iron Fist, as in not great. Probably a 7/10. It did have a lot of nostalgia and doubt they could have made it much better than what they did considering the material. Hoping the 2nd season is better and makes a less predictable story

I found it the other day and ended up watching all 10 episodes that night. I enjoyed it and can't wait for Season 2.
