before I fall behind.
thank you @R1s1ngs0n for your pick, Man Bites Dog. I watched it on HBO Max.
I want to say I watched this a long time ago, as it was somehow familiar.
I find the setup for the film to be a very interesting concept. It was not an easy watch, but despite the content on screen Ben is somehow charming in his own way. While not an overly long movie, I think the pacing could of been a bit better but I still enjoyed it 👍.

an honorable mention to one of my favorite horror films in recent years that, sadly, still lacks a physical release Queen Of Black Magic written by Indonesian horror master Joko Anwar and directed by Kimo Stamboel, this is streaming on Shudder and never lets up until reaching a crescendo of violent madness and bedlam in the third act.
Great post! I look forward to watching the Queen of Black Magic, thanks for putting that on my radar!

arrived today, my first RaroFilms release: Devil's Advocate. I'm happy to see this title get some love, I went with the one click. While there are some areas of improvement as far as quality, it's still a cool release and glad to add it to my collection.
Thanks @deckard99 @LeGonze @ShadowWarrior for handling the GB, and Thank you @Masterblaster for the outstanding protection used during shipping and for providing the opportunity to pick up Raro releases.

on the fence, I guess I'm the odd one out on this as I don't like the idea of discless editions. tbh I'd expect a better price than that.
I'm going to think about it, I like the packaging. I got an invoice from Collectong, but I think if I pull the trigger I'd rather go with MP as my personal Batman set is from MP and would like to have a matching number. I don't have the set from Collectong I received direct.

New Arrivals from Cinemuseum!
With these new arrivals I have completed the entire Cinemuseum line!
Independent, Cult, Exclusive, and Art. All editions. My collector number for CM is 033
I couldn’t get matching 033 for The THING because of the time between releases, but I will have a pretty rare set since most won’t be able to have matching numbers. I think 083 will do just fine

🚨 SPOILER ALERT 🚨 🚨 SPOILER ALERT 🚨
Please don’t read unless you have seen the film.
Mulholland Drive, my favorite film of all time. Here I will try to explain my theory on how the puzzle fits together.
First it will be helpful to learn our main characters. We have Diane Selwyn Played by Naomi Watts / A woman who is deeply troubled, envious, scorned, and tired of being passed over in her career.
Next we have Betty elms also played by Naomi Watts / A woman that is full of hope, happiness, love and trust and seemingly has a new career that is falling into her lap.
Next we have Camilla Rhodes played by Laura Herring / A beautiful actress that is the object of many peoples desire. A true movie star.
Next we have our mystery woman Rita. Also played by Laura Herring, she is a woman who is in trouble and needs help.
Then we have Adam Kesher, an established filmmaker who is in the process of auditioning leading ladies for his next big film.
The most important clue of the film happens before the credits. We are shown through a first person point of view someone falling asleep in a bed with pink sheets and a pink pillowcase with a green blanket. The camera zooms slowly into the pink pillow and sends us into a nightmare.
The woman falling asleep in the bed with pink and green is Diane. So now everything that we see play out is Diane‘s nightmare, and we will be given clues throughout to let us know that we are still inside the nightmare. The last thing Diane saw before she went to sleep were the colors pink and green and they will guide us as clues.
Then we are shown a woman being driven in a limo down Mulholland Drive. The limo stops unexpectedly and there is a terrible accident and our mystery woman emerges from the wreckage and wanders off in a daze ending up at a newly vacated apartment. This woman is Rita.
We are then shown that a group of powerful Hollywood elites have developed a plan at the request of the menacing figure Mr. Rooke To force Adam to hire an actress named Camilla Rhodes for the lead role in his new movie.
Adam is told that it is no longer his film. We see a series of phone calls made by people that work for Mr. rook. Notice the phone cord is pink and the wall is green.
Then we see Betty arriving in Hollywood, she is so happy and full of joy. She says goodbye to her new friends, an old couple that she had met on the flight and she gets in a cab to take her to her new apartment. Notice the cab driver shirt is green and hers is pink. As I said before the pink and green will guide us to know that we are still inside Diane‘s dream.
Next we see a scene with a hitman who is literally the worst in the history of the world. Everything that could go wrong does go wrong, a simple one man hit turns into a comedic catastrophe involving two innocent victims and a fire alarm. So we learn later in the film that this is the hitman that Diane hires to kill Camilla. So naturally in her nightmare she imagines him completely failing and screwing up the simplest of tasks. Notice the hitman‘s shirts one pink one green also notice the filing cabinet is green and the carpet is pink.
Then we are shown Adam returning home after that ominous meeting with the Hollywood crowd. Adam discovers that his wife is having an affair with the pool man. He decides to destroy his wife’s jewelry using pink paint.
Afterwards he is left bloody and kicked out of his own home by his wife and Billy Ray Cyrus. Notice the color of the two chairs by the pool one pink one green.
So, Since this is Diane‘s dream she has given Adam the worst day of his life, losing control of his movie, discovering his wife is having an affair and being thrown out of his home.
The next time we see Betty, our dreamer, she is getting ready for her big audition that just sort of fell into her lap. Notice she is wearing a green shirt and pink hair clip.
Betty then puts on her Nicest outfit and goes to the audition and completely nails it, leaving everyone speechless. She’s so wonderful that a very prominent agent takes her to a studio where a talented Director is auditioning actresses for the lead in his movie. Betty and Adam share an immediate connection that could be described as love at first sight. Before Betty could audition a blonde woman named Camilla enters. Adam is forced to choose Camilla and he does.
Next Rita has remembered something from her past, possibly her own name, Diane. They look up Diane‘s address in the phonebook and head to her apartment. After knocking and no answer they go through the window and find a rotting corpse of a woman in a bed with pink sheets and a green blanket.
Both women go back to the apartment obviously shaken by what they have seen. Betty invites Rita to sleep with her. Notice Betty is wearing pink pajamas and the sheets are green. Then follows a very passionate scene between two women who obviously love each other. Rita wakes in the middle of the night and asks Betty to take her somewhere.
They arrive at club Silencio. This part of the film is very hard to decode for many people. It’s really only Lynch fans that have a chance. Club Silencio is death. What is death if not the ultimate silence. And we are given clues that club Silencio is a place for lost & departed souls by The events that unfold. Also, the biggest clue that club Silencio is death is one that only Lynch fans would catch, as Betty and Rita take their seats they pass Laura Palmer and Ronette Pulaski (The two tortured souls from Twin Peaks).
They then head home and use the key to unlock the box, they both disappear as if they never were, because they weren’t.
Now we are outside of the dream and in real life. Diane is awakened by loud knocking. She rises from her bed and we notice that the sheets are pink and the blanket is green.
This is our first true clue that Diane was the one dreaming. The knock at the door is Diane‘s ex who has come to gather the rest of her belongings. She says that’s my ashtray, while reaching for the ashtray we noticed there is a blue key sitting on the table. This is a big clue for later on.
The next thing we see is a romantic interaction between Camilla and Diane as she sits her drink on the table. We notice the ashtray is still there but no key.
Next we cut to a scene where we watch Camilla flaunt her new romantic relationship with Adam in front of Diane. Diane is visibly hurt and angry. And then we see Camilla break things off suddenly with Diane who is furious.
Diane receives a phone call from Camilla who has invited her to a house party on Mulholland Drive. Camila and Adam break the news to the gathered friends that they are newly engaged. Diane is devastated and to add to her misery a mystery woman is seen walking up to Camilla and kissing her passionately in front of her.
In Diane‘s dream as Betty this is the woman that is responsible for her not getting the big part and possibly missing out on a chance at love with Adam.
And here we have the big scene where we see Diane hiring the hitman, she passes over a photo of Camilla indicating that she is the one she wants killed. The hitman holds up a blue key and tells her when the job is done she will find the key.
Now the ending, Diane is sitting on her couch in the middle of the night, obviously disturbed, tortured and heartbroken. As she glimpses down at the table we see the ashtray is gone and the key is there. That tells us we are in the current time. As Diane sits there on the couch she replays the events of the dream and her real life situations out in her mind and it becomes too much for her to handle.
She then takes her life in her bed.
thank you for this well thought out post! I look forward to watching this again sometime with all this in mind. I love films that deserve repeat viewings.

LOL, I love the car horn you included—very appropriate!of course, whenever I think of clowns, I think of how Kramer on Seinfeld is afraid of them (and for GOOD REASON, Mr. Pennywise!)
haha! I thought it was appropriate! its actually the 'free gift' that Cinemuseum gives with the Terrifier One Click

@goose_3387 when you have a chance, would you be able to make me a new signature based on 'They Live'? Here are some sample pics, but you have creative reign here. I would like Rambo font the same as They Live in the first image if possible.
Thank you! 😎👍
