  1. Well, I am happy for everyone that got the design they wanted while also very disappointed that we lost out on something unique. I also think it was a big deal for UHD to be willing to come back and crowd source a design, but I think it is a dangerous precedent to set. I understand why they did it in this case, but I think companies, artists, creators, etc should be able to create the products they want to create. If what they create resonates with people, then they build a reputation; which is exactly what UHD Club has done over the years. They have provided many wonderful editions and I think they should be encouraged to create based on their ideas because they have earned that trust from collectors. The loudest voices in society (especially on the internet) are usually the negative, angry, or disappointed ones. But I doubt any of us, as collectors, want these companies to be guided in their creations by disappointment in something that hasn't even been created yet! If they are then they will never take chances on creating something new and we will all just have shelves full of fancy versions of blu-ray jackets and movie posters. I want them to surprise me and take chances but I understand that I am in the minority. I personally think UHD Club would have created something very cool even if the mock-ups didn't do it justice. I also think if something like this happens more in the future, we should really consider showing beauty shots before starting a group buy. I understand why people would be upset if they are locked into something they don't want, and being able to see what they are getting before signing up would allow the company to make what they want and people to make the decision of if they want it. I don't pretend to know all the things that may make that difficult to do though. Anyway, nothing here is meant to insult anyone that voted for this design. Just expressing my opinion; I really am happy that the majority of members got what they wanted in the end. Cheers everyone!
  2. I don’t not believe group buys are planned for TFV releases as of now (though an admin may correct me). Your best bet would have been Vice Press. The art in these releases comes from artists they work with for posters. Last I looked Jaws was sold out though. At this point eBay may be the only option.
  3. This has been a welcome announcement! I think... My edition of TTT was stolen off my front porch so I now have an incomplete HDZeta set which is going to drive me crazy. This may be a path back towards sanity. I absolutely love my Blade Runner and 2049 wooden editions. The art on them both was beautiful and unique. I am skeptical about the upcoming Green Mile and Shawshank releases because the artwork looks to be pulled straight from the movie poster or DVD jacket. And, honestly, I was a little let down by the simplicity of the leather boxsets that HDZeta made. I really hope they can come up with some original and bold artwork to showcase how beautiful these wood boxsets can be.
  4. Liking the idea of a unique steelbook stand as the collector's item.
  5. By definition of the concept there must be some version of our universe out there where I don’t get this…but it’s not this one!
  6. Christmas is here! A huge thanks to @Tonic24k for being my Secret Santa this year and for the awesome gifts! Any-Man is headed straight to the gap on my shelf that I’ve had in my MCU lineup for so long and the whiskey is headed straight to a glass! We both had so much come up over the holidays we had to push our exchange out to January. @R1s1ngs0n, @extantsrevenge, and @Trianna sorry for the long wait and thank you all for organizing this great event. Hope everyone that participated this year had a happy holidays!
  7. Looks like they might have removed the link. Hoping this happens though because it is a gap in my MCU collection!
  8. @Tonic24k and I both had a lot going on with family and travel through New Years so we decided to exchange after that. We will post in January for sure!
  9. One more post as I pack up the last of my collection before my move. My camera, light box, and all my MP swag is packed away already so this is a sparse photo but still wanted to shoutout what a great end of the year it has been with a lot of these editions and MP gifts. I will miss admiring my book shelves for the next few months while everything is in storage, but after that I get to un-pack it all again and pretend that it is the first time I am seeing it all! Hoping everyone enjoyed the releases this year as much as I did. See you all in 2023!
  10. Merry Christmas Psychos!! Hope everyone found a grail under their tree!
  11. Thanks for the info. Should have some extras lying around so Ill give them a shot. I always order extras from SC due to shipping so I have a pile of unlabeled sizes...
  12. Now that most have received theirs, has anyone found a protector that fits this?
  13. until

I’m in! I’ve been a good Psycho, Santa.
  14. Stoked on this! I remember they were trying to pull this together a few years back as a roadtrip movie but things fell through. So glad they figured out how to get these two together!
  15. @GuyIncognit0, @CryoSteel, and any other Psychos in FL - wishing you, your families, and your friends all the best through this storm. I have family in the panhandle, Clearwater, and Orlando. No matter where it goes someone will likely get hit. Stay safe everyone!
  16. Pictures look great. It's WeET so I expect nothing less. I missed out on all previous Spider-verse releases so excited for this one. I will say that my shelves are getting pretty full of Marvel releases though...
  17. Okay, sorry for all the separate posts. This is the last one I promise - just thought it would be fun to show the past couple months of collecting together. For me, this is an embarrassment of riches only possible through MEDIA PSYCHOS! Also, I am not on social media so Admins - feel free to use any of my posts to promote MP if desired!
  18. Lastly, Jaws by cinemuseum. These releases take so long to produce but they are always absolutely worth the wait! The artists that CM chooses to work with make some really unique and memorable designs that help these releases stand out. Love the color scheme - blue, black, and yellow. The artist design of Quint seeing the shark from the crows nest is awesome! Would take that as a poster. This steel has great texture. Feels brushed. Another great inner steel design! My only "complaint" (not really a complaint, I love the release) would be the same as with the recent ML releases that have extras. I personally dont like loose items/extras. I love the idea of memorabilia/recreations from the films but I would prefer if the boxset design took them into account so everything could be kept together.
  19. Next up: Avengers: Age of Ultron by WeET It's WeET, so you know it's a great release. I never understood the hate for this movie. Ultron was a fun villain played wonderfully by James Spader, good MCU humor, fun action. I was happy when the Russo's gave it more gravitas and importance through Endgame. Love this inner box design. Don't know that the MCU will ever produce another team that means as much to me as this one did. Great inner steel design on this release too!
  20. Next up: The Prestige, Matrix Resurrections, and Dune from Manta Lab. Overall, happy with these releases. ML is my favorite Premium retailer, so I am somewhat biased, but I do think they are getting away from the uniqueness and attention to detail the had with releases like First Man, Drive, and Interstellar. Hoping overall design does not decline due to the unique items they have started creating for releases. These are my first attempts at lenticular videos. If anyone has a good way of making these please let me know what program you use and how you keep the file size down. Would have liked these to reverse/repeat (play forward and back rather than just forward), but Adobe Rush doesn't have that option. ML Matrix 4 Lent 1 60FPS.mp4 ML Matrix 4 Lenti 2 60 FPS.mp4 The idea of creating unique items inspired by the films (the cat in this case) is something I am interested in, but in the future I would prefer if it fit in the boxset. Extras or trinkets that come with a boxset but do not fit in the boxset are disappointing for me because they end up in a random box somewhere forgotten about. A boxset should fit everything in a release when possible IMO. Not a big fan of floating head designs but the gloss on this gorgeous and almost makes up for it. Inside steelbook design is almost as important to me as the outside. Love a good panorama from the film.
  21. Hey everyone! I have been away for a while for personal reasons so I have a bit of a backlog to show off! The past few months have been very good to me for collecting so I am going to split up by company. First up: The Witch and The Guest from Second Sight Films I did not get these through MP but wanted to shout them out anyway because I am very impressed with the quality and price point. Some may not consider them true Premiums, but don't sleep on this company, they are making some nice collectors editions.
  22. Okay team. Here's my top 5 (for now - this could probably change week-to-week for me). Number 5: Everything Blu's Hot Fuzz Boxset and Second Sight Films' The Guest Special Edition These two tied because I wanted to show a couple different European editions since Asian editions will dominate the rest of this list. Hot Fuzz by Everything Blu - There is not much that is flashy about this edition but I love the unique attention to detail. The letter pressing, the police shield on the back, and the metal bullets all make for a very tactile, fun edition to hold and look at closely. Fun movie too! The Guest by Second Sight Films - I just got this edition and absolutely love it! It may not be considered a full premium by some but for the price point I think it is a really great non-steelbook collectors edition. The use of colors and simple design are right up my alley. I would take clean colors like this over too much happening on a design any day (you will see the colors more down the list so apparently I have a thing for them). Number 4: Whiplash by TheOn (No. 19) Again, this is such a clean edition. I love the music pages on the inside, the use of black and white with a splash of color. It is a beautiful edition. Number 3: The Dark Knight Trilogy by HDZeta Not much to say here. This will always be one of my prized possessions. All three editions are matching No. 003. I love the display look of the motherbox. Thank god HDZeta doesn't do too many of these because I wouldn't be able to resist. Ready for LOTR! Number 2: Drive by Manta Lab Manta Lab is king for me. I could fill this list with their editions (First Man almost took this spot). My love of this movie helped to put this here, but the jacket on this is such a beautiful homage to one of the most memorable pieces of movie attire ever. They could have just printed this on the box but they went above and beyond to make this such a memorable boxset. Number 1: Blade Runner 2049 by UHD Club This is like 3 editions with the same color scheme on my list - told you I have a thing for it. If nothing else this would have to win no. 1 for me because it is one of the few editions I cant bring myself to un-seal! The colors, printing, the wood box, it is all gorgeous. These pictures aren't the best because of the plastic but I can only imagine how much more the colors pop when the plastic is off and this can be opened up to reveal the full wraparound image. Hoping UHD Club makes more editions like this!
