Hi Peter - welcome to the community. So, Ill give you a couple pointers to get you started but then let you explore the site. In general each release has a Group Buy post and a Release Thread. You are currently in the Release Thread where you would come to find announcements and general discussion around each release. If you navigate back to Page 1 of any release thread and look at the top of the thread you will find a link to the Group Buy page. It will look something like the green text here: Follow that link to go to the group buy page where, if the Group Buy is still open, you will see this link: You would click this and fill out the required info to join the group buy. Please keep in mind once you join a group buy you are committing to buying a copy so if you are unsure and want to wait until beauty shots come out do not do this yet. If the Group Buy is closed or paused you will see a different banner, something like this: or you can see it on a retailers group buy page like this: This group buy is currently paused so you cannot join right now but be sure to follow the group buy thread and the release thread so you will be notified of any updates (button to follow a thread is at the top of the thread page). Also, please make sure to go to the home page and scroll to the bottom where you will find a link to our FAQ section where you can post further questions or find most answers. Two new arrivals from MAG! Anaconda came in Friday and Das Boot on Tuesday. A big thanks to all the members who encouraged me to join these group buys when I was a little wary of a new company and some unconventional films. The quality here is amazing. I am extremely impressed. The depth of the lenticular and the velvet box feel of Das Boot, and the embossing and glossy finishes on the Anaconda box and slips are all extremely well done. These pictures don't do them justice (I was having a hard time getting away from glares). I am very excited for the Last Action Hero release. Members who may be on the fence: don't underestimate this new company! I want to see the blueprint but don't want to cut the seal on the tube...we will see if OCD brain or curious brain wins... The texture and glossy highlights on this box are so well done Really look great on the top of my main showcase section!

I certainly can't say for sure - just waiting with bated breath for gold to get the go-ahead. If I had to guess though, there are probably some platinum members who said they were going to re-up when they pre-aligned with the admins a couple weeks ago that still have not pressed the purchase button (whether they are out of town on vacation or work or maybe have something else going on that is keeping them from being in the loop right now). Until they do, they can't open things up to gold because the gold members would definitely snatch up those left over platinum's. I understand the leadership team wanting to give them as much leeway as possible; the platinum members are the biggest supporters of the site and have usually been members the longest. I would imagine this situation makes it tough to put a timeline on things which is probably why John mentioned in his announcement on the Response to Membership Tier thread that the link would be up for a few hours but has not been able to provide an update. Im sure he wanted all the platinum members to jump on and purchase quickly so that he could open things up to everyone else, but it is just taking longer than he expected/hoped. Even without an official timeline I don't imagine he will let it go much longer than 24 hours before announcing that things are open to the next group. Stay strong psychos! This only happens once a year so even though staying vigilant for 24 hours can be tiring, you wont regret your membership!

Not exactly. So, as far as I understand things, there are a set number of memberships available at each level. Once John has set everything up, these memberships will be posted on the store for purchase. The opportunity to buy a buy a membership will be opened up by current membership level. So, Platinum members will be notified first and have the opportunity to go into the store and renew (buy) their membership or not. After a certain period of time, current Gold members will be notified and have the opportunity to go in to the store and either renew their Gold status or upgrade to a Platinum (or downgrade to Silver if they so choose) if there are any available. So on and so forth for Silver members and then new members. So, a new member could certainly jump right to Platinum if there are any available once the store opens to them but the chances of there being any Platinum memberships left at that point are slim-to-none. So most new members will probably have to start with a Silver or Gold or whatever membership level is left. If I am wrong here Im sure an admin will correct me and definitely listen to them over me. Hey Team, Need some help. My brother is a big anime fan and my knowledge of the genre is EXTREMELY limited. I would like to find him some premium or special editions of some of his favorite shows since he loves to look at my premiums when he visits but just doesn't want to spend the time or money that this hobby can require. I think he would really dig them as gifts. Below is a list of some of the series he likes that I have made notes of from talking to him (sorry if it is a little long). Are there premium companies that specialize or lean more toward anime? And does anyone have any suggestions for premium editions of any of the titles below that I could try to hunt down? Any input is welcome and thanks in advance everyone! Nova 1917 and UHD Blade Runner on the same day!! And the invoice for Kimchi Knives Out just hit after being postponed! Hell of a way to end the week! We are in the beginning of March and the pic below is my 2021 so far. 2021 is quickly becoming my best collecting year and worst budgeting year so far! Nothing beats getting one of these in hand. Glad I can be a part of a community that enjoys the craziness as much me.

Has anyone found a good size protector to use with the these one-clicks? Looks like you can find some out there that are made for the FilmArena maniac additions and would be a little big. That is the only thing I have found that may work though. Anyone found a better solution to protect these once they are opened?

Arrived today in Denver!! It really is gorgeous! Gotta ask though - does everyone's have something rattling around on the inside? Mine has a very audible rattle and I am hoping that it is just a planned trinket rather than something that is broken...

Greetings fellow collectors! I joined back in mid-December but then immediately decided to shield my eyes from all things collecting-related until the holidays were over and I had fully recovered. So I am sorry for the delay in introducing myself but, trust me, it was not easy (I will admit that I fell off the wagon once for the EverythingBlu Gladiator Exclusive, but stayed strong otherwise!). I have always been a fan of everything that tells a story - books, comics, games and, mostly, film. Little did I know that that fanaticism as a kid would translate into a very easy way to spend all my money as an adult! I discovered SteelBooks and Exclusives about a year ago and immediately started joining every related reddit forum and following every related twitter account I could find. And naturally, after diving down the rabbit hole for a while I found Media Psychos and I just want to say that I am very excited to be joining a community of fellow collectors.
