I agree with you on some points, however I did not vilify him,  although I gave the other “dude” (I will not mention his name anymore) the benefit,  as I was hoping for that nice product. 😞

He was peppered when he criticised this fraud 

The way he was villified on this forum by everyone makes me feel very bad 

Yes, we all leapt to the fraudater's defence, because we were blindsided by the product, we failed to recognise facts and logic

I would say it was rather irrational behaviour by all of us 

I would say our collective naivety was almost embarrassing 

I personally should have flagged the discrepancies in the fraudater's statements a lot earlier when he contradicted himself, first by saying he was from Armenia, then Iran. Go figure 🤔

I too, am guilty of the foolhardy benefit of the doubt everyone gave him

I would not say MP is completely faultless here. The site controls were poor. The fact that this person was allowed to operate a business venture on this site and receive payments from us was a mistake . As members, we would have thought this person is vetted, and has passed MPs own due diligence process (in finance terms we call it "KYC", i.e know your customer) 

This must change, next time, MP must be the custodian of our money till the goods are received. We are not a fund raising website for an entrepreneur. 

But I guess next time will be too late for some members. I do feel for our friend @Resident Bill here
