Great challenge, I just started pulling movies so here are my top 10. Top 5 (in no order) Star Wars - if I had to choose just one, I guess I would go with A New Hope Lord of the Rings - again, if I had to choose, I’ll go with Fellowship Jaws Akira The Thing 6-10 Alien Interstellar They Live Kung Fu Hustle Endgame If I could get any movie in steelbook/premium it would be the unaltered version of A New Hope from UHD Club but I would settle for any official release of the original versions of the OT instead of the insufferable b.s. altered versions that are available.

Challenge 15 - Christmas Challenge My parents are over and we just watched Glass Onion which we had been saving for this occasion. Highly recommend it. I enjoyed it more than Knives Out. Cast is superb. That was the only movie we had on our hit list for movies to watch, kind of disappointed at the theatre offerings this year.

Since I couldn’t read instructions I will repost challenge 2 and 15 Challenge 2 - Premiums All of these are some of my favorites movies which adds to their specialness (I didn’t include my favorite movies like The Thing, Jaws, and Star Wars as I have featured them enough in other challenges). Manta Labs - Ex Machina: this is probably my favorite full slip, absolutely gorgeous. CineMuseum - Goonies: another awesome full slip, love the artwork. CM reminds me of Mondo in a way. NovaMedia - Pulp Fiction: great lenticular and steel, this copy I bought directly from NM back when one could do that and not have to wake up early for the drop and pray that you can beat everyone else. UHD Club - Kung Fu Hustle: love the packaging, obviously. The only other UHD Club I own is Jaws. I try to limit those purchases to my favorite movies. Arrow - Robocop: another direct from supplier purchase, this bad boy was lost in the mail for months before I finally got him. I was so happy that this package finally showed up!

Week 1 - lenti challenge My favorite lenticular is Vinegar Syndromes April Fools Invisible Maniac slipcover. This was sold as a pre-order for 1 week around April first and the picture was just an empty hand with no real info on what it actually would be. VS was silent about this from April until November when they finally announced what it is. The lenti transitions from the full clothed picture seen on the slip to a nude pic. Lenti is hidden behind the full slip as I couldn’t get a non-nude shot! I’m not really a fan of nudity on covers honestly but I love this cover (maybe it being a drawing helps as opposed to a pic of a naked chick). Anyways, if you follow the boards and VS you know about all the drama this slip caused and I’m glad I took the $6 leap of faith back in April. Despite this lenti being a transition, I actually prefer the 3D, single pic lentis. BluFans Dark Knight Trilogy are all you need as evidence as to why! Challenge 2 - Premiums All of these are some of my favorites movies which adds to their specialness (I didn’t include my favorite movies like The Thing, Jaws, and Star Wars as I have featured them enough in other challenges). Manta Labs - Ex Machina: this is probably my favorite full slip, absolutely gorgeous. CineMuseum - Goonies: another awesome full slip, love the artwork. CM reminds me of Mondo in a way. Heres wishing all you Psychos a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year!

The one on the left is JB aka James Brown and the one on the right is Logan aka Old Man Logan. JB was named “Jeb” when we adopted him and I couldn’t think of anything except “Jeb Bush”. He wasn’t responding to it anyways and when I said “JB” he perked up, so we went with that. A lot of people think Logan looks like Splinter, and he does, but I didn’t like that either. He does look like an old man with his white fur so I thought Old Man Logan! He has Wolverine’s personality too, guy goes crazy when he sees other dogs and wants to fight them no matter how big they are. Logan didn’t have a name when we adopted him, just a random street dog.

No cartoons?!? I was a little worried I wouldn’t be able to complete this challenge, but I have a couple physical releases of series’s. My favorites are probably Breaking Bad, Star Trek The Next Generation, Seinfeld but I don’t have those. I’m patiently waiting for Breaking Bad 4K! So that brings us to some series’s that I do have. Looking at these I think they all have a lot in common - amazing series, ahead of their time, all cut short. Chapelle’s show, Upright Citizens Brigade, and The State are all sketch comedies that are so hilarious and irreverent. UCB season 3 is on dvd but it’s rare and expensive. Rome was completely ahead of its time and in many ways the predecessor of GOT. HBO cut it short and threw together that second season. It really did a great job of incorporating historical events. Firefly and Legion are each series I would like to see more of. I actually preordered Legion Season 2 at San Diego Comic Con and it came with a free Mondo poster, a legit high quality, numbered poster! They never released season 2 so I ended up just getting a free poster, lol. For series I want on physical release - I’m a huge Star Wars fan so Mando, Book or Boba, ObiWan, Andor. I’m assuming that they will never make it to disc. Another series that I would like on disc and hope ends in a satisfying way, not ending up in my above list of shows that deserved more episodes is Apples Severance. Awesome show.

I what now? -
My top 3 directors are probably John Carpenter, Stanley Kubrick, and Quentin Tarantino but I chose 3 directors that I’m probably the most into right now or those that have most significantly impacted my movie watching and tastes over the past 5 years. 1. Dario Argento: for the past couple of years I have really been getting into Giallos and then slashers, horror, and b movies in general. I’m excited for Severin’s recent announcements for Four Flies on Grey Velvet and The Five Days, though their pricing seems absurd. I need to upgrade my copies of phenomena and tenebrae but I pumped the brakes back when Arrow first started re-releasing his films in 4K. I don’t have a least favorite but I haven’t delved into his more recent films, I’m sure there are some stinkers in there though, lol. 2. Mario Bava: can’t be into Giallo without the inventor of the genre himself. I branched off with some of his non-Gialli and I think the last of his filmography that I’m going to pick up is Hercules in a Haunted World which appears to be on sale on Amazon (just ordered it right now). Least favorite of the bunch was Barron Blood. Didn’t care for that one at all. 3. Gaspar Noé: I only learned of his work recently. He wasn’t on my radar at all until Enter the Void and Lux Aeterna were announced for release earlier this year. I’ve been (slowly) going through his movies. Don’t have a least favorite yet.

T2 - T1 is a great movie but T2 is a masterpiece. The action sequences, special effects, soundtrack and Arnold himself are all better than the original. Aliens - another James Cameron entry. Alien is arguable a top 5 movie and Aliens is not a better movie but it does make for a better action movie! It’s hard to think of a movie that better encapsulates the 80s! ESB - back to sequels that are better than the original. ESB is probably the best SW movie entry, ANH definitely has more sentimental value but ESB is better overall. If I had to give 1 reason why ESB is better, well… The Fly 2 - with apologies to Chris Walas but there is nothing this film does better than Cronenberg’s The Fly. I hadn’t actually seen this film until Scream put out their Fly boxset and I was actually surprised I liked it so much. I thought it was very entertaining and it’s certainly far from being a bad film. One thing better than the original…I love Geena Davis but seeing my Druish Princess Daphne Zuniga was pretty heart warming! Last entry and back to sequels better than originals…Breakin’ 2: Electric Boogaloo! First off, it’s the greatest movie title in the history of cinema. Ok, maybe it’s not better than the original but it does have my favorite scene of the franchise: When we see Turbo from the outside of the place, looking in… So now, forgotten or under appreciated movies that need a sequel. Constantine is the film I would like a sequel for most but it’s hard to say that’s forgotten or underappreciated. I think both Dredd and Solo fall into the under appreciated category. Dredd was an amazing film and they have plenty of source material. Would love to see Karl Urban in this role again. I actually loved Solo and would really like to see more of Enfys Nest, Q’ira, and young Han, Chewy, and Lando.

Here’s my entry Helicopter blade sword from Edge of Tomorrow Hammer from Drive Sword of Crum from Conan Quintessential 80s Rambo knife Quintessential 80s horror weapons of Jason’s machete and Freddy’s knife hand thing. I guess my favorite weapons would be lightsabers, favorite hero saber would be Luke/Anakin/Rey’s blue lightsaber and favorite villain would be Vaders red lightsaber. I own replicas of both so I guess they are clearly my favorites! Runners up (ones that I have thought about buying) would be Conan’s Crum sword and the pulse rifle from Aliens. Runner up villain weapon would probably the Jason and Freddy weapons.

Tales of the Jedi

Binged it, freakin AMAZING. Great character development for both Ahsoka and Count Dooku especially. I'm not really a fan of prequel movies but all of the cartoons are fire! -
