New guy could use help on understanding group buys

If anyone could lend a little of their time to help me understand how to get in on group buys, I would greatly appreciate it. I’m very new here and a little intimidated by all the information and threads here. Kind of at a loss on where to go next.

 I’m a collector too that started out w/Best Buy/Target exclusives that really got me into the Premium editions (I started way back though  & gradually upgraded from VHS to DVD to BD to 4K oh my 🤣). then I was fortunate to find out about this terrific forum MP from another forum I followed & MP took over my #1 place since March ‘19 hey 👋

Thanks for the reply, and for the links. I’m late to the physical media collecting party, but I’m trying to make up for lost time. I will continue to watch the news thread to see when posts about new group buys comes out. Is there a way to be notified of news posts?

I think the first thing to do would be to read our group buy rules here. They give a good overview of the whole process. 

 

New group buys are announced in this thread in the English room. You can follow it (or any thread) by clicking on the "follow" button in the upper right corner (looks like below).

 

and you will receive notifications (bell icon) of new posts. Private messages are the envelope icon.

 

We post release threads every day for all the new steelbooks, premiums, and other releases. Click on "activity" in the top menu bar to browse all the latest posts. If we have a GB, a link will be posted at the top of the release thread and you can also ask questions there if you like.

 

If you have any questions, please send a PM to one the staff or tag any of us in a post by using the "@" sign and selecting from the popup. If you do it right the name will appear like this @deckard99 - Ken
