G'day from the land downunder....

G'day everyone, I hail from Australia and I am a long time collector of all things physical media.

 

I'd been looking around for some cool steelbooks to add to my collection and stumbled upon this group. Looks like a cool place to hang out and geek out about flicks! Also hoping to jump onto some future group buys for some of my fav flicks.

 

My all time number one movie is Lord of the Rings. I am aware this is cheating because it's actually three films haha, but if you had to twist my arm, Fellowship gets the slight nod as my personal fav entry in the series. Otherwise, my preferred genre is probably sci-fi and some of my favourites here (in no particular order), include The Thing, Interstellar, Moon, Inception, District 9 and Aliens.

 

Of course, this automatically makes me a Star Wars geek and I watch everything in this universe, both good and bad lol.

 

Anyway, I look forward to getting to know you all and chatting about our collections 😁

 I’m a collector too that started out w/Best Buy/Target exclusives that really got me into the Premium editions (I started way back though  & gradually upgraded from VHS to DVD to BD to 4K oh my 🤣). then I was fortunate to find out about this terrific forum MP from another forum I followed & MP took over my #1 place since March ‘19 hey 👋

Thanks for the warm welcome guys and the heads up that you have LOTR still available as I'd figured this one was already done and dusted! 🤯

 

Still learning how your GB system works. I would be interested in both the HDZeta set and possibly motherbox for this set if shipping to Aus is an option (doesn't look like it will be on the motherbox anyway). Do I just complete the form on the listing page initially to register my interest?

I missed the VHS/Laserdisc era, but became an avid collector of DVD's then to BD and 4K like you mate. Given the direction physical media is heading, it looks like 4K might be the last, which is more than fine with me as long as we can keep on buying them anyway!!!

 

Having had a look around at some of the amazing gb editions of the past, it does look like my wallet might be hurting some more in the future, but my collection will become a whole lot fancier haha
