I love this set up.
You can tell a lot of love and care went into it.
Thanks man. Real shame Disney have put a spanner in the works to expanding it. ☹️- 4

Challenge 18 - “Merchandi$ing! Where the Real Money from the Movie is Made”
Thanks @Mrdugan for the challenge!
Hmmmmm… so I could certainly complete this particular challenge in Lego alone, and in Pops, and again in diecast. Sadly most of my Merch (Especially my diecast) is boxed away safely in the loft, patiently awaiting the day I have a room to display it all properly. Or in terms of Lego, is in bits due to space.
Hopefully what I have to hand will satisfy your interest. 😊🤞🏼

Love Harrelson and would watch him in practically anything… just not with Hart. Can’t stand him.
I hear that.
My “rather like Harrelson” comment was me playing it cool really. I def more than like him and consider him a draw to watch anything if I’m honest. If he wasn’t in this, I most likely wouldn’t have bothered.

Just finished The Man from Toronto (Some Spoiler Alert).
Honestly, I’m a little bored with Hart now. Hart & Ice Cube, Hart & The Rock, and now Hart & Harrelson. And yup, his role is exactly what you expect. But, I do rather like Harrelson, so I thought I’d give it a go.
Mildly amusing throughout with my biggest laugh coming in the opening credits. Highly predictable of course, and you have to wonder why film writers insist on feeding us lies such as 37yr old Kaley Cuoco getting together with 61yr old Woody Harrelson. Because someone who looks like Kaley Cuoco is obviously single and wants a father figure right?? FFS. Of course Harts wife is Gorgeous (Jasmine Matthews) and he doesn’t deserve her… and we’ve NEVER seen him play that role before! 🙄
Anyway, more than plenty of action. Lots of explosions, plenty of token bad guys (hitmen for hire) and then of course there is “Debora”. A Typically black 69 Charger R/T. Personally, I think I might actually hear a perfectly tuned Hemi barrelling towards me and have the foresight to step out of the way 🤷🏼♂️ But that’s just me 😄
Some slightly dodgy CGI and as already expressed, I am sure you can all imagine just what you’ll get with this.
It’s not awful, it’s not even poor. It’s just very very predictable. If you like this kind of thing it will tick all of your boxes and even if you don’t necessarily like this kind of thing, it will pass 2hrs without completely robbing you of it. 👍🏼

Need this, or something very like it to pop up on Zavvi. It’s around triple the price on Evil bay. 😒

Just finished watching Sorcerer.
First off, thank you @Gary K for the suggestion 👍🏼 I really enjoyed it
This was a first time watch for me, so taking that into consideration (not knowing the outcome ahead of time) and the fact that this is from 1977, I honestly found it quite gripping and suspenseful. Ok sure, not by todays standards, but given the time stamp of this movie I thought it was excellent throughout.
I particularly liked all the explosions. As previously mentioned in another review (can’t recall who said it) it was great to see such big explosions in all their glory without CGI. Also loved the bridge scene. The weight of that old timer truck on a rickety old bridge is mad enough, but throw in some explosives and a storm and it’s damn right nerve jangling. I also didn’t expect characters to meet their demise as they did. The movie leads you down other expectant routes.
I found the intro’s almost comic book like, with very little conversations. Mostly led by expressions and surrounding sounds. Very well done IMO. The acting was top drawer, and it didn’t feel too far fetched at any point. For me I like either complete fantasy, or reality movies. I struggle when they blur the lines.
I watched it on BluRay as I purchased a copy on eBay ahead of time, and I am glad that I did. It will be living within the collection and will not be re-listed. I give this a solid 7 out of 10.
Cheers all, and Happy Friday!

Just had a squizz at the list on page 1 to try and plan ahead.
@hal56 & @R1s1ngs0n I may need some assistance finding your choices guys. I haven’t conducted a thorough search just yet, but nothing coming up on my initial streaming searches on UK platforms. I can find pricey DVD’s of Revache on evil bay, but nothing at all for C’est arrivé près de chez vous (Man Bites Dog).

Just finished watching Ma Raineys Black Bottom.
First up, Wow…what a performance from Chadwick Boseman! Brilliant. Second, What a performance from Viola Davis! Superb, and terrifying! 😄 I also hadn’t realised until the end credits that Denzel Washington played the role of Producer on this.
This one is certainly thought provoking. Not at all what I expected in terms of plot scenes either, and it’s a somewhat rare quick watch on a par with a Romcom in duration time (1hr 34mins).
Whilst not something you will watch again and again, or credit as a favourite, I would still highly recommend this if anything, just to witness the great talent that we have sadly lost way too early - Chadwick Boseman. He clearly looks gaunt in this and knowing what we do now, it’s mind blowing to think he put in this performance whilst suffering in silence and so close to his passing 🙏🏼

Hi Guys,
Finally got around to watching The Way Back (so you’re not that far behind @Baphomet 😄) and I’m not going to go into this one too much. I share the views Of Eli (Shocker 😂) and Nils. Didn’t really do anything for me I’m afraid. A little too on the nose and if I am completely honest, I’ve always found Affleck to be average at best and tend to avoid. I’m sure he must have some great performances under his belt, but I am yet to see them if he has.
Thanks for the suggestion @Fortis93 I certainly wouldn’t have taken the time to watch it without your suggestion, and regardless of the outcome I am enjoying the looking forward to these group views 👍🏼
On another note, Sorcerer arrived yesterday @Gary K and I am very intrigued. That’s 3 in a row that meant nothing too me before this group thread.

Hi @GentlemanFantastic collection of Monster Movies there! Probably my favourite genre. I have not yet seen Shadow in the Cloud, but read bad things ☹️ Just wondered what your view is on this, given you are clearly a Big monster movie fan yourself 😊

Hi Guys - Happy Friday! Will catch up to you all again over the weekend with a viewing of The Way Back. 👍🏼
@Gary K Just found a ‘buy it now’ copy of Sorcerer on BluRay in my region on that bidding site, and my order is in! Hopefully it arrives before Thursday. It’s been a while since I did a Blind Buy but looking forward to this one. 👍🏼

Spiderverse is one of my favorite films. I initially wasn't interested in it at all but I have a subscription to the local theater and decided to give it a shot one night and I was blown away. It's a really hard act to follow in my opinion.
As for the formal MCU, I'm so far behind on shows that I don't have any real expectations in terms of moving the phase forward. I think I'll like Ant-man because I don't walk in with high expectations for that franchise. I agree re: Majors ; he's one of my favorite actors right now.
I really need to watch Spiderverse again. I also loved it and have seen it twice, once on the big screen and once at home when my WeET Collection release landed. But that was a hell of a long time ago now so I feel I need to revisit. Feels like a perfect lazy Sunday watch this weekend actually 😄I think Majors is about to sky rocket in terms of popularity with Kang. Brilliant actor. Also can’t wait to see Mahershala Ali in Blade! Another firm favourite for me.

I might move it to near the top of my list because I could really go for something like this. The foodie films are always so relaxing for me. The Hundred-Foot Journey is usually watched at least once a year in this house.
Really expanding my horizons this last week… “Foodie Films”?! Never even considered such a thing. It a Whole New World! 😄👍🏼- 1

At that time (before our daughter was born), walking out of a stinker was easy since both of us had annual subscriptions that allowed us go to the movies as often as we liked.
During certain periods we used to go to the movies at least once a week so these annual subscriptions were definitely worth it, especially since good movies came out pretty frequently… how these times have changed.
I was then thinking that it strikes me that a bunch of you guys seem to go and watch anything, but the subscription totally makes sense! 👌🏼
I’ve never walked out, but I suspect I have only been a small fraction of times compared to the levels a subscription goer has been.
I did sit through Daredevil at the cinema, but I also smuggled in a 4-pack so that helped 😂
