  1. I'm slowing down. Between my slow computer and my eyes, I don't know if can continue... I've taken out a lot of the buggers along the way though!
  2. The German Room needs some kind of "minimum system requirements" message before heading in there. My computer is getting bogged down like crazy - Gifs everywhere! This is going to take a while
  3. It took me a second too, but I think he would have preferred any of those images he posted over the image actually chosen by Manta (on the first page). I don't mind what Manta chose, but I can see his point. Personally, I never intended on getting the OC anyway so it doesn't matter to me. 😁
  4. I can't comment on the accuracy her accent, but I'm one of those that got thrown off by it. "Wait a minute, has she been speaking like that this whole time?!" Anyway, really hope those waters recede soon. Stay safe
  5. I’m seeing “soon” a lot lately....🙃
  6. Thanks for the help! I was hoping someone would provide info like that. There is some minor damage to the slip in the same location as the steelbook; the steelbook took most of the impact somehow. Beats me.
  7. Thanks @deckard99, but I didn’t get it though MP 🙁. Almost joined that GB, but it would have been a blind buy for me and I had been spending too much at the time. Once I saw others’ pics of it I knew I had to have it so I went through eBay. I really need to just sign up if I’m even remotely interested. So, I really paid the price, twice. I paid higher than GB price and it showed up damaged. Let this be a lesson to all you kids out there, don't be like me!
  8. I can't get a good picture of it, but it looks like someone stepped in the top right corner. This might be a better look.
  9. @FlanInTheFace The double lenti is one of my favorite editions. Nice pickup! Unfortunately, I've had a bit of bad luck. USPS delivered Weet's Amazing Spiderman but had an oopsie despite excellent packing and a very clear "Fragile" sticker. Is there a steelbook doctor in the house? 😢
  10. This will be me surrounded by all the veterans here..
  11. I have no idea what's going on but it sounds fun...
  12. @Veum I think RP is a good actor (outside of Twilight). It did his career well to leave the mainstream for a bit. I’m excited to see how he portrays the dark knight. Anyway, does this mean you’re going to rent something? 😁 Go watch it now 😉
  13. So I've watched several movies over the past week. The first up was Judas and the Black Messiah Following the assassinations of MLK Jr. and Malcolm X, one determined member of the Black Panther party, Fred Hampton, seeks to unite those who seek to end systematic oppression. The film follows Fred Hampton and the FBI's attempt to squash the rise of a "Black Messiah". This was a heavy, yet good, film filled with absolutely outstanding performances. Of course led by Daniel Kaluuya and LaKeith Stanfield. Next was Dredd (2012) with Karl Urban, Olivia Thirlby, and Lena Headey. I never saw this film but decided to watch it so I could decide whether or not to go after the Best Buy steelbook released this past Tuesday. There was nothing really new here story-wise, but I enjoy the occasional shoot-em-up. However, I found some of the visuals in this film unnecessarily gory and it kind of ruined it for me. After those two films I wanted something a little lighter so I re-watched Man of Steel and Batman V Superman to get ready for Justice League next week 🙂
  14. I almost put up some of the protoype photos from the newest releases. I'm glad I didn't because I don't want to play the role of the tempter 😄 Will be sure to post pics when I get one!
  15. Looks great! I also have Captain Rex on preorder and he will be my first Hot Toy. I'm sure I'll love it, but I don't want to like it too much as that will start me down yet another expensive path 😳 I see that Bo Katan was revealed today (along with Scarlet Witch and Vision). The face carves look fantastic on all of them and it makes me wonder why they have such a hard time with Rey. At first I thought they just had a hard time with women's faces (Wonder Woman is also not a good likeness), but Bo Katan and Scarlet Witch prove that theory wrong. Anyway, congrats on the new collectible! I can't wait for Rex to show up!
  16. Good morning, all! It's a beautiful day here in Florida so far - 67 degrees and sunny. I see you all have been attempting to answer the most important questions of our day. Carry on, don't let me get in the way. 😁
  17. Cut me some slack, I was only 1 when breakfast club came out 😜 As far as 300, I enjoy it's unique cinematography but it gets a little...weird...at times.
  18. I haven't heard of that one. I'll have to add it to the queue!
  19. @Veum By the way, what did you think of Gemini Man? I personally thought the story was alright, but was absolutely blown away by the presentation. I am fortunate to be near a Dolby theater and saw it there in 3D. Now, I'm not usually a 3D guy, but the high frame rate made a HUGE difference. The 3D was crystal clear and had me entranced throughout. I wonder how much that impacted my opinion of it. I wish more movies were shot at that frame rate.
  20. Yessir! The film takes place in the 2200s? where Earth is apparently becoming less inhabitable. Individuals have volunteered to begin colonizing new worlds and Daisy Ridley's character (Viola) is on her way to join one of these colonies. Her ship crash lands on one of these worlds and she learns that men's (and only men's) thoughts are heard and sometimes seen by everyone. She also learns that all of the women are dead. Conflict ensues 😁 Rotten tomatoes synopsis is as follows: "A young man must protect a mysterious woman in a dystopian world where all the females have disappeared." This film was shot around 4 years ago and was supposed to be released a long time ago. It was delayed because Lionsgate deemed it "unreleasable" so it went through many reshoots, etc. You probably haven't heard of it because there has been next to no marketing for it. Lionsgate essentially realized it would be a flop and didn't want to sink any more money into it. I went into the theater knowing all of this which is why my expectations were so low. Here's a trailer, albeit a seizure inducing, annoyingly cut one:
  21. Fully aware that I said I wouldn't post here in a while, but......yeah....I AM a psycho ya know 😁 Several things showed up today including Weet's Endgame through the GB here and Filmarena's Jaws. 300 and The Breakfast Club are just the steelbooks but I got them for a very good price off of Mercari. Both are films I like, but not enough to splurge on their premiums.
  22. Just saw Chaos Walking. I went in with extremely low expectations based on the reviews, but didn't think it was too bad. Then again, I might be biased because... Seriously though, I thought the performances were solid and the bones of the story were good. I would need to watch again to focus more on the nuances and take a deeper look at some of the issues with it. Overall, I think it's worth a matinee ticket. 🙂
  23. Why thank you, good sir! I'm equally a fan of your pickups. Sounds like I'm in the same boat as you since I've only been collecting premiums for the past year. I might just have to seek out that Shawshank edition 👀 I never thought I'd be a OC guy, but if companies keep putting Gal on the front than I have no shot at resisting. I just can't say no to Gal Gadot!
  24. Here are my pickups from the past week. Received HDZ's Wizard of Oz courtesy of MP. It seems some are disappointed with the release, but I'm definitely pleased with it. In addition, Plain Archive makes its debut in my collection and I'm impressed with the quality of these two releases. I didn't even know I, Tonya had a physical release until recently and the glitter effect on the slip is a nice touch. I'm also a fan of the glow elements on the Zero Dark Thirty slip. Please excuse the blurry photos - I couldn't get the stupid camera to focus for some reason 🤔 Finally, my weakness is on display in grand fashion as I finally cracked and splurged on HDZ's Wonder Woman. Those who said it's a great release were not fooling around - I'm very happy with it. With that said, you probably won't see me posting in this thread for a while so that my wallet can recover 😳
