What if they sell empty wooden boxes?

Now, let me take a guess here about that printing issue. Usually the print underneath the lenti kinda matches the lenti itself. See Dunkirk and Interstellar. Also note that this release was supposed to be 3 transition lenticular with the rotating hotel image. As far as I can tell, the print on the box matches the original lenti in the Beauty shot. (Especially visible from the right side/ open side ofthe hardbox. They seem to now have chosen the standard lenticular instead probably after they have already printed the boxes. The question arises why UC opted out of that one. Maybe licensing issue/ misprint / cost ?
-
I think the problem is there is an image underneath here that does not match the lentis. I'd rather have it be one neutral color. Like the Prestige.
-
Does this mean both the gift box and the Digipak have Lenticular cover?
-

Looks really neat! I can see where you are coming from. Even though I will buy the Nova Edition I am a bit disappointed. For such a high price we don't even get a OC. This great film deserves a better premium release IMHO.

I believe in MP to make the right judgement. -
Is it only me or does Murphy's ear kinda look off in the lenticular effect?

Looks really nice!!! Never seen that one before, thanks! Hm, but do we count editions from regular distributors like that as Premium treatment? If yes then the criterion release of Mulholland Dr. would also count as Premium I guess (Full Slip Digipack plus Booklet). I know that Apocalypse Now has some collector's editions from standard retailers but I don't think it has a Premium release yet? I also think it's important to consider the popularity of a movie here. As much as I'd love to have a 2001 Level treatment of The Abyss, the reality is there is not that much certainty if that would sell well I think. But I hope I'm wrong though.

I think Apocalypse Now and Silence of the Lambs would fit these criteria well. Both have not have premium releases yet. They are "cinematically rich" and are quite popular, so the demand is definitely there, so the risk for WCL would be pretty low. Other Kubrick titles are strong contenders as well, especially Clockwork Orange. The popular David Lynch titles would sell well, too. There exists no premium release for Mulholland Dr. at all, which has quite a large fanbase. Considering how popular Nolan is, Memento would be huge as well.

This guy does some incredible artwork: https://studiokxx.com/Poster I can't afford it but these posters are stunning.

I can imagine that another problem is the uncertainty about the popularity of a certain release. Here I wish that there is more communication between retailers and collectors. Maybe in the future make polls about what movies have high demand. -

MP is becoming more and more popular and so does the hobby of collecting physical media in general. I think the best we can hope for, is that with increase of demand for premiums the retailers increase the number of limitations on average. I don't know whether MP can have any influence on this in the future. There is of course the issue of resources as well. But if a product is popular, there is money to be made and increasing for instance the limitation for the next fanatic release from 300 to e.g. 500 will make everyone happier. -
I think what they are good at is marketing and branding. And well, I bought some of their editions because I thought they were so special since eceryone seems to love them. But seeing them on my shelf, everything just screams "cheap" to me. Definitely not worth the 40 or 50 bucks imho. Still I cannot deny that some of their artwork is really good. So I can totally understand the hype.

Hey guys, here are my purchases over the last months: 2001: a space odyssey (Titans of Cult) I don't know what to think of this series. I think the artwork of the ToC steelbooks are awesome but I don't like the plastic box at all. The glued part is noticably visible and the back side information is printed onto the box, so it's not removable. Also in the future I will avoid UK releases since they print their age restiction logos on everything. I should have went for the German edition that has a removable sticker as the age logo. Overall I think the steelbook is really nice. I hope some day I can find the WCL Edition of this masterpiece. Midsommar (art crafts, A24 4k Director's Cut, Weltkino Mediabook) Managed to expand my Midsommar collection! Shout out to A24 for sending me a second item for free after the first package got lost during shipping. Love all 3 of them. Parasite (Injoingan Full Slip B, Koch Media Mediabook B) I am relatively new to collecting and this Parasite Full Slip is my first Steelbook Full Slip. What I notice the most is the weight of a Steelbook Full Slip in contrast to a scanavo Full Slip. I really love the feel of the weight in my hands and the nice thickness of the Slip. I might become a Steelbook lover after all.

Beauty Shot looks really great. I am looking forward to it. Only wished there would be a little memorabilia like in Prestige and Gladiator.

Another opinion I'd like to share is that I actually like the white Full Slip more than the A1 but I'd rather have them replace the White A2. I think A1 and A2 (de Armas) fit together thematically and complement each other quite nicely. Edit: @raylight was faster than me Maybe put A1 (Craig), A2 (de Armas) and the Lenticular in a OC and then sell the White A2 separately???
