Any GBs coming for the Plaion releases? I remember there used to be a thread where we could request/get Koch (now Plaion) releases. (I was able to get a few Arthaus/Koch release here before)

This steelbook looks awesome! We have a general Plaion GB here. I'll check and see if we can order. If so, I'll add this release to the GB.

I was eyeing this and Cutthroat Island. I'm sure there are people looking at that steelbook they have for WICKER MAN too.

Wicker Man is available from other retailers so I don't think there will be much demand.

As for Cutthroat Island is that this one?

Yeah, that's the one. Apparently it is also rumored to be embossed. And it has the english title under the j card. (I think the french version of this only has french title)

(no worries on Wicker Man, or anything that can be sourced from the U.S. from another vendor. )

@deckard99 - I am also interested in some of the more recent Plaion releases (U-571 steelbook in particular) which are not listed at the general GB link you posted above. 

Will or can those also be added to the GB for members to order?

This isn't a collector's edition exclusive, just exclusive to DE.

 

France has the Steelbook too

@deckard99- Since both can be ordered through Amazon.fr and FNAC maybe you shouldn't go through any trouble with the Plaion site with these.

I was concerned about the French title on the spine of CUTTHROAT (the Plaion German version was English)- but rumor is the French will be in English and that spine is just for the mock-up.

Thank you for looking into doing that, though! Much appreciated. (And I'm sure at some point soon there will be more PLAION titles that we WILL need a GB for!)

@Manticore4 I took a look at Plaion's site and didn't see much that's new. You can let me know the titles, but it's really only worth ordering if we get at least 3-4 requests.

Thanks, Ken. Yeah, not many things which can’t be found at Amazon France, Germany, or UK. i’ll keep my eye on their site, though.

It DOES happen, though. Remember the ARTHAUS titles like Donnie Darko box set (and steelbook), Outsiders box set, Reservoir Dogs box set. Those weren’t available anywhere but Koch/Plaion).

Yup, our Plaion GB is really meant for such exclusives, not editions that can be ordered elsewhere.
