Quarentine addictions....

My hubs and I are somewhat high risk and live in the Southern US with fairly rampant covid spread so we've pretty much been stuck at home since March. I had a healthy (some might say the opposite) stash of Criterion flicks before all this started which has grown to a much larger stash (go go B&N sales) and only recently discovered the world of 'boutique blurays' and have a growing collection of KL and Arrow discs to complement my Criterions.

 

I discovered this site whole looking on eBay for a special edition of The Lighthouse and while I did not spend the $170 the buyer wanted for it, it's led me to what I imagine will be a much more expensive hobby in the future.

 

I'm averaging about three films a day lately and have really loved discovering a24's releases. I've a preference for horror (the nonslasher kind), screwball comedies of the 30's and 40's and Korean action flicks.

Yeah, I hear you, I’m a collector too that started w/Best Buy/Target exclusives that really got me into the Premium editions (I started way back though  & gradually upgraded from VHS to DVD to BD to 4K oh my 🤣). then I was fortunate to find out about this terrific forum MP from another forum I followed & MP took over my #1 place since March ‘19 hey 👋 

 

 

I’m who is referred to as the “consigliere” on MP and the Ol’ American guy 😆 (Ol’ Veum is me) because I do enjoy communicating with all the peeps!😊

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. Just got a new shelf for my collection this week and I'm already looking at it... looking at my recent purchases in my inbox.... and thinking I should have gotten a bigger shelf.
